No RRB NTPC 2026 result is due yet: applications for CEN 06/2026 (Graduate) close on 6 November 2026 and for CEN 07/2026 (Undergraduate) on 13 November 2026, and the first result will be the Graduate CBT-1 shortlist after CBT-1, which is tentatively planned to start in the fourth week of December 2026. In the previous cycle, the CEN 06/2025 CBT-2 result came out on 27 August 2026; the result of the CEN 07/2025 CBT-2, held on 17 September 2026, had not been posted on the RRB website as of 27 October 2026.
What does each RRB NTPC result decide?
| Stage | What the result decides | How it is published |
|---|---|---|
| CBT-1 | Screening only: candidates equal to 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB are shortlisted for CBT-2, on normalised marks | RRB-wise PDF of roll numbers plus a cut-off PDF, and a login scorecard |
| CBT-2 | Merit: normalised CBT-2 marks decide who is called for document verification and medical examination, at 1:1 of each RRB's vacancies | RRB-wise PDF of roll numbers plus a cut-off PDF, and a login scorecard |
| DV and medical | Eligibility and fitness for the post allotted on merit and preference | RRB notices and call letters |
| Main panel | Provisional empanelment, forwarded to the zonal railway for appointment | RRB-wise panel PDF |
Results and panels are uploaded on each RRB's own webpage within the unified site rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, so you check the RRB you applied to. Roll numbers in the PDFs are listed in ascending order, not in order of merit. If you were shortlisted under the OBC (NCL), SC, ST, EWS, PwBD or ex-servicemen quota, you continue to be considered only against that quota at every later stage. If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher; if they are the same age, the given name (not surname) in A to Z order breaks the tie.
RRB NTPC scorecard: how to check your marks
Alongside each PDF result, the RRBs open a scorecard link where you enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth to see your score, your qualifying status and your question paper with the correct answers marked. The link has opened within two days of the result (from 17:00 hrs on 12 June 2026 for the Graduate CBT-1 result of 11 June 2026; 26 August 2026 for the Undergraduate CBT-1 result of 24 August 2026) and is time-bound. The CEN 07/2025 CBT-1 scores could be viewed only from 26 August 2026 to 5 September 2026, so download yours while it is live. Under CEN 06/2026, the RRBs may share your marks with other ministries, PSUs and private employers if you gave consent in your application.
What happens after the RRB NTPC result?
- Document verification: upload your photo and signature on oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before your DV date, then produce all original documents with two sets of self-attested photocopies. Candidates absent from DV lose their candidature, and serving government employees must bring an NOC from their employer.
- Medical examination: Goods Train Manager needs A-2, Trains Clerk A-3, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk B-2, and the clerk-cum-typist posts C-2. Candidates who have had Lasik or similar eye surgery are not eligible for A-2 or A-3 posts. A candidate who fails may be given one final medical appeal on payment.
- Panel and appointment: the RRB only recommends empanelled names; the offer of appointment comes from the railway administration. For example, RRB Chandigarh forwarded its CEN 05/2024 panel to Northern Railway. Once empanelled, you cannot be considered for any other post in the same pay level.
In the 2025 cycle the Graduate CBT-2 was followed by a typing skill test (CBTST, e-call letters from 20 September 2026) and a computer-based aptitude test (CBAT, e-call letters from 26 September 2026) before DV. The typing skill test has been dispensed with for CEN 06/2026 and CEN 07/2026, and with no Station Master post in this cycle there is no CBAT, so the CBT-2 result will lead straight to document verification and the medical examination.
