RRB Technician Result 2026: CEN 02/2026 Status, DV Shortlist

The RRB Technician result for CEN 02/2026 had not been declared as of 27 October 2026. The CBT was held from 6 to 9 October 2026, and the answer key objection window closed on 22 October 2026. The latest notice on the CEN 02/2026 board is Corrigendum No. 1 of 16 October 2026, which raised Technician Grade III vacancies from 6234 to 7002. Technician Grade I Signal stays at 323. In the previous cycle, CEN 02/2025, the results were posted on 21 May 2026 (Grade I) and 30 May 2026 (Grade III).

What the RRB Technician result is

There is only one CBT for each grade, so the result is directly the list of candidates shortlisted for document verification (DV) and medical examination. Under CEN 02/2026:

• Shortlisting is RRB-wise, in a 1:1 ratio to the vacancies of that RRB, based on CBT merit, and done separately for each pay level.
• Marks are normalised because the CBT ran in multiple shifts. You must reach the minimum marks of 40% (UR, EWS), 30% (OBC-NCL, SC) or 25% (ST).
• If two candidates have equal marks, the older one ranks higher. If the age is also the same, the alphabetical order (A to Z) of the given name, not the surname, decides.

In CEN 02/2025, RRB Chandigarh published a separate PDF of cut-off marks (out of 100) for each grade, along with scorecard links on the notice board. The Technician Grade I scorecard link was posted on 21 May 2026 and the Technician Grade III link on 30 May 2026. The RRBs' attendance figures for CEN 02/2025 show 46138 candidates sat the Technician Grade I Signal CBT and 448500 sat the Technician Grade III CBT.

After the result: DV, medical and panel

1. Document verification: shortlisted candidates are told through the RRB websites and by SMS and email to download their DV e-call letter. Bring all original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies, and upload your photo and signature on oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before the DV date. In CEN 02/2025, RRB Chandigarh held round 1 of DV from 16 to 31 July 2026.
2. Medical examination: you must pass the medical fitness test for the post, conducted by the Railway Administration. The CEN allows an appeal against an adverse medical report on payment of the prescribed charges. The outcome of the appeal is final.
3. Panel and appointment: the RRB publishes panels and recommends names. For CEN 02/2025 the main panels came on 25 August 2026 (Grade III) and 7 September 2026 (Grade I) and RRB Chandigarh posted its DV round 2 schedule on 16 September 2026. The offer of appointment is issued only by the Railway Administration.
