In order to move further in the selection process of RRB ALP, a candidate must get the minimum percentage of Marks. Following are the percentages required for Part A and Part B
- For Part A– 40% for UR and 30% for OBC, SC, and ST
- For Part B-35% for all the categories.
RRB ALP Types of Exams
There are three types of Computer Based Test that are going to be held for the RRB ALP Selection Process. First, there is Stage 1 of CBT, which is a screening test, then there is stage 2 of CBT, which contains two parts. Part A contains 100 questions, while Part B contains 75 questions. Part B is the qualifying exam in nature and Part A marks are used to shortlist the candidates for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test(CBAT). Part A contains from these sections -General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Mathematics, and Basic Science and Engineering. Part B syllabus is based upon a candidate’s Trade choice.
Candidates are shortlisted for the Computer-Based Aptitude. Test, on the basis of the qualification of Part B and the marks of Part A. The Computer Based Aptitude Test examines cognitive abilities in relating to visual reasoning. There are five test batteries, and a candidate needs to score 42 marks in each test batteries to qualify the Computer Based Aptitude Test. For the final Shortlist, 70% of weight age is given to the Part A of the CBT 1 and 30% of the weightage is allotted to the Computer Based Aptitude Test.
