Duties and Role of SPSC
The Sikkim Public Service Commission was established under Article 315 of the Indian Constitution. SPSC is entrusted with the following duties and role under the constitution:
- SPSC conducts competitive examination for the recruitment to service and posts under the State Government. This recruitment is conducted through written exam, online exam, interview.
- The commission advises on the suitability of an officer for a particular post through promotion.
- It advises the government on matters related to the methods of recruitment to various services and posts.
- Sikkim PSC is consulted on matters related to the disciplinary matters related to government employees.
