The SSC CGL Result 2017 will be announced in 4 stages. The commission will declare the result for the Tier-I exam first, then Tier-II, Tier-III and then Tier-IV. Each level will be of qualifying nature. It will be mandatory to obtain a minimum set of marks to proceed to each stage.

The Combined Graduate Level Examination 2017 Result will be announced by Staff Selection Commission on November 10, 2017. For now, the SSC CGL Tier 1 Result will be announced, on the official at ssc.nic.in. The result of SSC CGL 2017 will be declared through a PDF file, which will contain the details of the selected candidates. The link to check the CGL Result will also be provided on this page.

Current Status on SSC CGL 2017
In the recent days, Tier-I was conducted by the Commission from 05 August 2017 to 23 August 2017. According to SSC, an estimate of 30,26,599 candidates registered. Till 21 August 2017, out of 26,63,073, only 14,02,331 candidates had actually taken the examination. In so far, criminal cases against 3 candidates in charge of indulging in malpractices viz. two cases of impersonation and one case of cheating has been registered. However, the examination has been conducted without any major issue.

There is no fixed date as to when the result will be announced. SSC CGL 2017 Result availability will be informed through commission through a notification. However, the table below suggests the dates of result declaration.

SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 Result Declaration

In the Tier-I exam, marks will be awarded out of 200. It will be Computer Based paper. After completing the Computer based Tier-I exam, the result will be announced. The dates cannot be foretold. But whenever the result will be announced, it will be uploaded as a pdf file on the official website at ssc.nic.in in the Results section. Candidates will be able to check the result without the need of any credentials. The pdf file will contain the Roll Number, Candidate name, category, status of the qualified candidates. To denote eligibility to appear in Tier-II “Y” will be written in front of your name.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Cut off from last year

Of all the 38.04 lakh registered candidates, somewhere around 1,49,319 candidates in 44 Batches appeared in 96 Cities across the country. To be exact 28,171- OBC, 5,057-SC, 1,257-ST, 475- Ex.Servicemen,186-OH, 28-HH & 23-VH candidates are provisionally qualified at UR Cut-off. The cut off was as follows:-

SSC CGL Tier 2 Result Declaration

In Tier-II Computer Based Examination, marks will be awarded out of 800 marks. Based on the marks in Tier-I and Tier-II and as per cut-off fixed by the Commission, list of qualified candidates will be displayed on the website of the commission at ssc.nic.in The file will display Roll Number, Serial Number, Category and Name of the candidate. Last year, 35,906 candidates had qualified for Tier-III.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Cut off from last year

In Tier-II examination, 612- OBC, 61-SC and 9-ST candidates were provisionally declared qualified at UR cut-off in the post of Assistant Audit Officer. For the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS and Assistant in MEA- 2,012-OBC, 139-SC and 23-ST were declared qualified. In the post of Junior Statistical Officer (Grade-III) – 172- OBC and 11-SC candidates were declared qualified and for DEST for all posts- 6,188-OBC, 547-SC and 122-ST candidates were provisionally declared qualified. SSC CGL Tier 3 Result Declaration

Tier III is a new introduction in the exam pattern. It is possible that not all the candidates know about it already. The Tier-III will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode of worth 100 marks. Candidates will be required to complete the Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essays/Precis) in 60 minutes. Result will be announced on the website for those who are able to express their views with clarity and brevity. SSC CGL Tier-III Result will be announced on ssc.nic.in by the commission.

SSC Tier 4 Skill Test/ Document Verification Result

This Tier is specific to a particular post in terms that it will be held for the people who are going to apply for the post of Tax Assistants  (Central Excise & Income Tax). Candidates applying for this post must pass Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer and similarly for candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks in Skill Test involving test on Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Generation of Slides for the commission to consider you for the post.

Document Verification under SSC CGL 2017

All candidates are required to come for document verification. Those failing to do so will not be considered for final selection. Every individual must submit all documents in original for verification. While filling the application form, the candidates are given the option to opt for group of posts (i.e. A,B,C,D) which will also be taken into consideration at the point of document verification.

SSC CGL 2017 Merit list

The merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.

SSC CGL Final Result 2017 Declaration

The final result of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2017 will be processed as soon as possible. Moreover, it would be misleading to put a time frame to it. Therefore, we seek reader discretion in this matter. The Final Result will be uploaded in the Result section of the official website at ssc.nic.in as a pdf file. The list will display Roll Number, Name of the candidate, Date of Birth, Category, Preferred Post, Marks obtained in Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. Last year, a total of 35,903 candidates had appeared.
