TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020: Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has released the final answer key and result of Block Educational Officer (BEO). The online computer-based examination for recruitment into the TN Elementary Educational Subordinate Service was conducted on February 14, 15 and 16, 2020. Qualifying candidates are scheduled to be recruited into 97 tentative vacancies in the State of Tamil Nadu. Candidates must possess a B. Ed degree to be eligible for appearing in the TN TRB BEO 2020 examination. Applicants who are eligible as per the required criteria will be selected on a merit basis based on exam scores and certificate verification. TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 results are released post the completion of the online examination and the selection procedure. Qualifying candidates in the online computer-based exam must access certificate verification shortlist through the online portal at trb.tn.nic.in. TRB releases roll number wise shortlist of qualifying candidates on the website along with a press release through print and/or visual media. Minimum Qualifying Marks for TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 examination
Candidates must secure a minimum percentage of marks in the online computer-based examination to be considered for certificate verification and subsequent recruitment. The minimum qualifying marks as per the norms of the G.O.Ms.No.33, School Education (EE1(1) Department is 50%. The minimum qualifying mark for SC candidates is 45% and for ST candidates is 45%.
Eligibility Criteria for TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 examination
Age limit
The upper age limit for candidates of the General category is 35 years as on July 01, 2019. Upper age limit is 57 years as on July 01, 2019 for all backward class, backward class (Muslims), most backward class/denotified communities, scheduled castes, scheduled caste Arundathiyars and scheduled tribe candidates.
Educational qualification
All candidates must possess B.A/B.Sc. degree either Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, History and Geography as the subject of Major. Candidates must also possess a B.Ed degree. Candidates claiming to possess equivalent qualifications must provide TN state government issued equivalence order for certiface verification.
Application Procedure for TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 examination
Application fee
The application fee is Rs 500 (excluding service charges) for all candidates except reserved candidates belonging from SC, SC (Arundathiyar), ST and physically disabled candidates. Reserved candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 250 (excluding service charges). Application fee can only be paid through online payment gateway using net banking and credit or debit card.

Reservations for TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 examination
Vertical reservation
Communal reservations consist of 69% seats while 18% are reserved by Scheduled Castes. Scheduled Caste (Arunathiyars) include 3% reservation among total SC reserved seats. 1% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 26.5% for backward classes (except backward class muslims who have 3.5% reservation). 20% seats are reserved for most backward classes and 31% are reserved for denotified communities.
Horizontal reservation
Female candidates are entitled to 30% horizontal reservation. Candidates who studied their undergraduate and B. Ed. degree in Tamil are entitled to 20% reservation. Candidates with physical disabilities are entitled to 4% reservation.

There are altogether 97 vacancies in the Elementary Education department of the TRB to be filled by the recruitment of Block Educational Officers through the TN TRB Block Educational Officer 2020 examination. The number of vacancies announced is tentative and can be modified by the conducting body as and when needed.
Hall Ticket for TN TRB Block Education Officer 2020 examination
Hall tickets issued by the TN Teachers Recruitment Board can be downloaded from the official portal of the TN TRB by visiting trb.tn.nic.in. The TRB uploads hall tickets after the closure of the application window and before the date of examination. No communication to the candidates will be made regarding the release of hall tickets. Candidates must regularly visit the portal to check out and download hall tickets when available. Candidates must carry their hall ticket along with a valid photo identity to the examination center.
