The syllabus provided in this page is based on TNSET previous year notification. As per the TNSET 2018 notification, the syllabus for TNSET is same as that of UGC NET syllabus. TNSET Exam Pattern 2020
To know the exam pattern is as important as the syllabus of an exam. It helps to know about the marks distribution of the different sections, the time duration for different papers, what is the nature of the exam, and other important details. Nature of the Papers
- Paper 1 is designed to assess the teaching/research aptitude of an aspirant.
- It is primarily prepared to test the comprehension, reasoning ability, divergent thinking and general awareness of the aspirant.
- In this paper, 50 (fifty) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked each question carrying 2 marks.
- Paper 2 consists of 50 objective type questions that are compulsory questions.
- These questions are based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- Paper 3 consists of 75 objective type compulsory questions carrying 2 marks each.
- The subject opted by the candidates determined the question.
Medium of TNSET Question Paper
Out of the 26 subjects options provided to candidates, Paper 1 and Paper 2 are conducted based on the subjects selected by them. The medium of most question papers is English or Tamil for the papers.
