Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which is an independent body, supervises the exam every year for numerous job roles of civil servants. The UPSC Civil Services exam is supervised in three stages namely Preliminary, Mains and a Personal Interview. The first phase assesses the composure of a proportional and steady mind with general knowledge. The second phase analyzes the understanding of a candidate, wherein the final phase examines the candidate’s confidence, morale, motivation and enthusiasm, in short, the overall personality of the aspirant.
