USET 2017 is a State Eligibility test which is being conducted by Kumaun University, Nainital. The exam will be held on 29 October 2017. USET is the state level examination. The University has released all the details regarding the examination on its official website. The application process for the examination has been started from August 23, 2017. This is the great opportunity for the students who want to pursue his or her career in Teaching profession. The USET 2017 examination will be conducted for the for appointment of Assistant Professors in the State of Uttarakhand. The candidates who shall qualify USET 2017 will be able to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in any Government or Private University/ Institution/ College of the Uttarakhand state.

The USET 2017 is conducted in 27 subjects. The students can apply for the subject of his or her choice while filling the application form for USET 2017. There will be some eligibility norms on the basis of which candidate will be able to apply for the examination. Therefore candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for USET 2017 before filling the application form. USET 2017 Application form

The application process for USET 2017 has been started on the official website of USET at usetonline.com The interested and eligible candidates can apply for the examination till September 24, 2017. Only the eligible candidates will be able to fill the USET 2017 application form. Candidates have to pay the prescribed amount of application fee before filling the application form.

The candidate shall need the valid email ID and phone number to complete the application process for the entrance examination. Candidate needs to fill all the required details in the application form such as personal details, contact details, educational qualification and other relevant information. A passport size scanned photograph and signature should be uploaded by the candidate in the prescribed format. Examination Fee

The candidates filling the application will be required to pay the requisite sum of money in order to complete their form. The amount to be paid by the candidates depend on the category from which they are applying. The table below describes the amount that the candidates are supposed to pay:

USET 2017 Fee payment method

The selection mode of payment will be embedded in the application form only. The Examination fee can be paid by the candidates either using online medium i.e. Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card or using Offline medium i.e. by depositing the Cash through Challan at any SBI Branch. You are strongly advised to keep a print of the application form and the candidate’s copy of Challan/ fee receipt for future reference.

USET 2017 – Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test

The Kumaun University has set the eligibility criteria for the UTET 2017. The candidates must be eligible to apply for the examination. The minimum eligibility for UTET 2017 is that the candidate must have completed the Master’s Degree from a recognised University of UGC and must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for the reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination. All the application forms will be rejected if the candidate will not be found eligible as per the eligibility conditions prescribed by the University.

Admit Card for USET 2017

USET 2017 Admit Card will be uploaded on the official website at usetonline.com. It will be issued by the Kumaun University and hence will also be available on the website of the university at kunainital.ac.in. Candidates may get the hall ticket in the 02nd or 03rd week of October 2017. It will not be sent by post. You must carefully notice the venue of the Test and appear in the examination only at the designated examination centre. Candidate must bring black/ blue ball point pen.

Examination Scheme

The examination scheme of all the three papers in USET 2017 is given below in the table. The questions asked in all the three papers will be multiple choice questions. Candidates must note down the exam pattern for the examination and should prepare accordingly. Paper will be PEN and PAPER BASED

USET 2017 Test centers

Candidates going to appear in the examination will get seat allocated from the following cities:- Almora, Uttarkashi, Nainital, Srinagar, Garhwal, Pantnagar, Dehradun, Haldwani, Haridwar, Pithoragarh, Roorkee and Gopeshwar. There is no provision of requesting for the change in test centre. Therefore, candidates must refrain from making such requests.

Syllabus of USET 2017

Paper-I- questions will be based on teaching/research aptitude/ reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. There will be total 60 questions out of which 50 will be compulsory.

Paper- 2– will have questions 50 objective type compulsory questions from the following subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. There will be total 50 questions. Candidates have to attempt all questions in 1 ¼ hours.

Paper-3- will consist of 75 MCQs from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Result Declaration

The result of USET 2017 will be announced on the official website of the university. Candidates will be declared qualified if they succeed to ascertain a slot in the top 06% of the appearing candidates. It will be mandatory to appear in all three papers and secure a minimum of 40% marks (General category) and a minimum of 35% marks (reserved category) in aggregate marks. The USET qualified candidates will be declared eligible for the job of Assistant Professor.

After declaration of Result

Candidates who are declared USET 2017 qualified will be required to submit some original documents to the competent authority so that passing certificates can be issued to them. The required documents are:-

  1. Xerox Copy of the fee paid.
  2. Final Year Mark Sheet of Postgraduate degree or P.G. Diploma of equivalent Examination
  3. Marriage certificate (in case of name change)
  4. Caste Certificate issued by a Competent Authority
  5. A valid OBC Certificate (NCL)
  6. Medical Certificate issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format only in case of PWD category candidates.

The candidate will only be able to apply for one subject from the above-mentioned list. While applying you have to mention the code of the subject in the application form. The paper for USET 2017 will be bilingual (Hindi/ English). Candidates can answer the questions either in Hindi or English. However, the paper for subjects like Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Life Science, Earth & Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science will be in English language only.
