The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), ICAR has released the notice for the releasing the result of Stenographer and LDC Grade III Recruitment 2017. The Board received several queries regarding the further conduction of the process of joining of all selected candidates. The ASRB has handed over the result to the ICAR. Now all the queries should be addressed to the Administration of ICAR instead of ASRB. As per the public notice the ICAR will be responsible to conduct all the necessary process of joining.

Vacancies and Payscale
The candidates will be selected for the posts of Stenographer Grade III and LDC on the basis of the available number of vacancies. The total number of vacancies are 173 out of which 95 vacancies are for Stenographer Grade III and 78 vacancies for the LDC. Detailed list of category-wise vacancies for both the posts is as given in the images below:

For Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
For Stenographer Grade III post, the pay band is Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 and the pay scale for LDC is Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates need to be eligibility as per the norms of the board for the concerned posts. The eligibility criteria consist of the age limit, prescribed qualifications etc. The candidates must go through the criteria as provided below:
Age Limit – The candidates must be minimum 18 years of age and maximum 27 years of age as on the closing date for the submission of online applications (Relaxation as per the rules stipulated in the Notification for prescribed Reserved categories/ Departmental candidates).
Prescribed QualificationsThe candidates must possess the following educational and professional qualifications to be eligible for both the posts as mentioned below:
For Stenographer Grade III
Educational Qualification – The candidates must be passed in 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board/university, completed on or before the last date for submission of online applications.
Professional Qualification – THe candidates will be given one dictation test in English or in Hindi at 80 w.p.m for 10 minutes. The candidates who will opt for English test will have to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on the computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Hindi will be provided with 65 minutes to complete it on the computer.
For Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Educational Qualification – The candidates must be passed in 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board/university, completed on or before the last date for submission of online applications.
Professional Qualification – A typing speed of 30 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on the computer. (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 Key Depression per hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
Selection Process for Recruitment of Stenographer and LDC Grade III
The candidates applying for the offered posts by the ICAR will be selected on the basis of the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill Test in English/Hindi. The candidates, who qualify the CBT as per prescribed standards, will be shortlisted for Skill Test in Stenography/Typing in the ratio of 1:20 i.e. 20 candidates for one post, in order of merit in the CBT for the Institute’s opted by the candidates and depending upon the available number of vacancies.
How to Apply
The eligible candidates need to fill the online application form for both the mentioned posts separately. It is available on the official website of the Board i.e. asrb.org.in and icar.org.in as per the scheduled dates. The candidates have to fill the required particulars as well as the requisite application fee i.e. Rs. 200 (for Unreserved/OBC) and there will be no fee for other reserved categories. The fee can be paid online only. The candidates can pay the fees using Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card facility. The candidates have to attach all the required documents such as a photograph, signature as per the prescribed specifications and keep ready the other educational documents/certificates.
ASRB Stenographer and LDC Grade III Admit Card 2017
The admit card will be issued to the candidates who will appear for the computer-based test (CBT) in online mode for the recruitment to the following posts in Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The link to download the admit card will be available on the official website as well as here on this page as soon as it will be uploaded. It will be an important document from the examination point of view. Therefore, the candidates are required to take a printout of the admit card on the scheduled date and also bring it on the day of the examination.

The exam pattern for both the posts includes the written examination and skill test. The scheme of examination for the following posts is as follows:

The Exam held on October 29, 2017, for the post of stenographer grade III. The Tentative Answer Key for the same has been released. ASRB Stenographer and LDC Grade III Recruitment 2017 Result
The result will be declared for the candidates appeared in the online mode computer based examination and skill test. It will be published on the official website of ASRB and ICAR. The candidates can check the result from the website which will contain the marks obtained in the examination. The candidates who will qualify skill test will be recommended appointment on the basis of their marks obtained in CBT and the available number of vacancies.On the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates, the qualified candidates will be taken into consideration for the recruitment to the concerned posts. The final selection will be based on the candidates qualifying all the stages of the recruitment process as well as fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the applied post.
