The Engineer Trainee recruitment is only open for candidates with a Mechanical and Electrical background. The distribution of vacancies is as mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2019

The criteria of eligibility for BHEL Engineer Trainee recruitment 2019 will be announced. The candidates will be able to check it from below:

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 27 years, as on 01 Sep 2018. However, for the candidates who have completed two years full time PG in Business Management/Administration or Engineering the upper age bar is 29 years.

The relaxation in the age limit will be provided as mentioned below:

  • SC/ST Candidates – The upper age limit is relaxed upto 5 years.
  • OBC-NCL – There is a relaxation of upto 3 years on the upper age limit.
  • PwD – For physically handicapped candidates of General Category, the application relaxation is of 10 years. Whereas, for OBC-NCL and SC/ST candidates the relaxation is upto 13 and 15 years, respectively.
  • Jammu and Kashmir – The domicile of J&K since 01 Jan 1980 to 31 Dec 1989 will get a relaxation of upto 5 years.

Education Qualification – The applicant must possess a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology. The specialisation of the candidates has to be in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.

GATE Paper and Corresponding Discipline: The candidates will also have to ensure that they have appeared for any of the below mentioned GATE paper and had the following disciplines in graduation.

Selection Process for BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2019

For the selection of the GATE 2019 qualifiers, the marks will be considered out of 100. The candidates who will pass the GATE cutoff, as decided by BHEL, shall be called for the Interview round.

The application for BHEL ET Recruitment 2019 will be release on careers.bhel.in. The provision to apply through any offline medium will not be provided to the candidates. To register online, the candidates will have to enter their personal details, along with the GATE 2019 Registration Number. Once registered, the candidates will be able to fill the application form for the recruitment.
