CSIR NET December 2018 Result
The CSIR has published the result for the Joint UGC NET for the December exam at the official website. The result is available in the pdf format which consist of the roll number of the candidates who have successfully qualified in the test for JRF NET Dec 2018. The CSIR also prepare two merit list one comprising of the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (LS-NET) on the basis of candidates performance in the Test.
Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find an association.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Stipend
The candidates who will be selected for the JRF through CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs.25,000/ p.m. for the first two years. Furthermore, an annual contingent grant of Rs.20,000/- per fellow will be provided to the University/ Institution. On Completion of two years as JRF and if the Fellow is registered for Ph.D, the Fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (NET) and the stipend will be increased to Rs.28,000/- p.m. for the 3rd and subsequent years, on the basis of assessment of Fellows’ research progress/ achievements through interview by an Expert Committee.
CSIR NET December 2018 Answer Key
The CSIR NET December Examination has been conducted successfully. Now the unofficial answer key of CSIR NET is available, which is compiled by various coaching center. The candidates can check the answer key and estimate the score with marking criteria. After a few week, the CSIR will release the official answer key on csirhrdg.res.in. The candidates shall also submit their representation(s) against question/answer key in respect of all the subjects through email. The objection in the CSIR NET 2018 Answer Key submitted by post or in person will not be accepted.
CSIR NET December 2018 Admit Card
The CSIR will issue the admit card for the Joint UGC NET 2018 for the December exam through online mode. No candidate will receive their admit card by post. To download it, you need to visit the official website of the CSIR HRDG. Then you need to log in by entering your Application Number. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the print out of the CSIR NET Admit Card on the day of the examination.
The admit card will consist of the details of the candidate as well as about the exam. On the day of the examination, you need to bring along a photo identity card such as a voter ID Card/PAN Card/Driving License, etc.

CSIR NET December 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who wish to apply for the CSIR NET 2018 must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as given below. Check the eligibility conditions for JRF NET and Lectureship (NET) here.
Age Limit Criteria
- For JRF (NET) there is an upper age limit of 28 years as on July 01, 2018.
- A relaxation of up to 05 years will be provided to the SC/ST/PWD/ Female candidates. Furthermore, relaxation of 03 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants.
- There is no upper age limit criteria for Lectureship (NET).
Educational Qualification
- Should have qualified M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-years/ BE/ BTech/ BPharma/ MBBS.
- Must have obtained at least 55% marks in case of General/ OBC category and 50% in case of SC/ST/ PWD candidates.
- Those who have enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the last date of submitting the CSIR NET 2018 Application Form are also eligible to appear for the test.
- Aspirants who hold a B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates, whereas, 50% marks for SC/ST/ PwD candidates are also eligible to apply.
- Those aspirants with only Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply only for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS).
- Furthermore, the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to September 19, 1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.
Note: Those with the Bachelor’s degree are eligible for the Fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of two years.
CSIR NET December 2018 Exam Pattern
The CSIR UGC NET December is a pen-paper based which will consist of MCQ type questions. The test will be held in two shifts – Morning and Afternoon. The test will be of total 03 hours duration and will be of total 200 marks. CSIR-UGC NET Exam for science stream is conducted in the following areas:

- Earth Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
The test will be divided into three parts A, B, C. Part “A” will be common to all the subjects, Part “B” shall contain subject-related MCQ covering the topics given in the syllabus, whereas, Part “C” shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concept. CSIR NET December 2018 Application Form
The candidates will be able to apply for CSIR UGC NET Dec 2018 through online mode only at csirhrdg.res.in. It is advised to candidates to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria only then proceed to submit the CSIR NET 2018 Application Form for Dec exam. In the form, you need to fill in your Personal details, Educational Qualification details, etc. Also, you will need to upload scanned images of your passport size photograph, signature, Qualifying final/last mark sheet, etc as per the specifications.
To submit the CSIR NET Application Form you need to pay the requisite amount of the application fee. The application fee is payable by online mode only. After submitting the application form, the candidates will receive an Application Number
