Selection Process
Candidates applying for Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2020 have to clear the The Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) to appear for other two rounds of written test and oral interview. The Preliminary Examination is of 100 marks multiple choice questions. Each question is of 01 mark, 0.33 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. Once the candidate is able to clear the examination, she/he will become eligible to appear in written test. In written test candidates from general category have to score atleast 50% marks and candidates of other category have to score 45% to become eligible for Viva voce Test.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:
- Candidate should have the Degree in Law from any of the reputed university affiliated by Law of India and must be practicing as the advocate in courts of criminal or civil jurisdiction. Candidates of academic year 2009-2010 who have their Degree in law, must also have cleared the All India Bar Examination, to be called eligible as the Practicing Advocate. OR candidate must be continuously working in courts or allied departments of the court until the last date set for the receiving of application forms.
- Candidate must possess the certificate proving that they have Basic Knowledge of Computer Application/Operation. This certificate should be issued by either any government institute or some other recognised institute.
Age Limit: Upper age limit set for the recruitment of civil judge for Gujarat High Court is 40 years, irrespective of the category they belongs to,
- Candidates of General category must not exceed, 35 years of age.
- Candidates from Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, orthopedically Disabled Persons & Ex-Servicemen should not exceed 38 years of age.

e-call letter for Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2020 is available to download online. Candidates who does not carry the admit card, will not be allowed to appear in any of the three level of examination. e-Call-letter-cum Admission Slip, is available on High Court Website or HC-OJAS Portal of NIC. They have to enter their Confirmation Number, Application Number and Date of birth to download the e-letter. If the authorities have not issued the e-call letter to any of the candidate, then she/he will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Candidates have to carry one of the photo identity proof, along with the admission slip.
