How is IBPS Clerk 2019 Score Calculated?

IBPS takes into account the accuracy score over total score while selecting a candidate for further rounds. Candidates need to skip on the questions they are not sure about while attempting the IBPS Clerk 2019 exam.

For instance, a candidate attempts 120 questions out of 200 questions in the main examination. Out of 120 questions, candidate’s 118 questions are marked correct and 2 questions are marked wrong. IBPS has adopted the following method for calculating the score:

  • Net score: 120 (number of questions) – 2 (wrong attempts) = 118
  • Deduction for Wrong Attempts (0.25 marks per question): 118 – 0.5 (2 wrong attempts) = 117.50
  • Accuracy Score Calculation: Number of wrong attempts over the number of attempts: 2 / 120 = 0.016. This score is deducted from 100: 100 – 0.016 = 99.984% (final accuracy) is your accuracy
  • Score Correction: Accuracy is multiplied with Net score: 99.984 x 118 = 117.98
