IBPS Specialist Officer Notification 2017

IBPS will invite applicants to fill the vacancies for various post in Specialist Officers’ post. The selection for various posts will be on the basis of qualifying marks scored in two tier examination. The preliminary examination will he held tentatively in the month of December 2017 and main exam will be in January 2018. As soon as IBPS releases application form it is strongly advised to start filling the application without waiting for last date of submission to avoid any last day hassle.

Changed IBPS Specialist Officer 2017 Process

It is noticed that new process of IBPS SO will involve two exams – preliminary and main. Until last year process consisted of one exam and then interview. Candidates who are vying for Specialist Officer posts through IBPS Recruitment must keep this in mind and prepare for prelims as well as mains.

IBPS Specialist Officer Application Form 2017

Registration is likely to begin in the month of November 2017 and will go on to until first week of December 2017. Any application form submitted after the last date due to any reason, will not be considered. Applications are to submitted through online mode only, registration form sent by any other mode will not be accepted. Read all the instructions carefully before filling the application online. As once application is filled and submitted, no changes will be entertained in the application, whatsoever.

Fill in all the details required in the application correctly including your personal details, academic qualification etc. Provide a valid and active, email address and contact number as any information to be forwarded by IBPS will be sent through electronic means only. After filling in all the details upload your photograph and signature according to the dimensions given. Finally pay the application fees. Again application fees has to be paid by online mode only. You may chose any of the given modes to pay your application fees; last year following modes were available:

IBPS Specialist Officer Eligibility Criteria 2017

Ensure that you fit in the eligibility criteria as prescribed by IBPS. If any candidate found not eligible at any stage of the recruitment process, his/her candidature will be cancelled immediately. Given below is the basic eligibility criteria for applying for the post:

Nationality

The candidate must either be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the  purpose of permanently settling.

Age limit

Maximum : 30 years   Minimum: 20 years (i.e.,  not born earlier than 02.11.1987 and not later than 01.11.1997 (both dates inclusive)).

Educational Requirements (from University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. of India or approved by Govt Regulatory bodies)

For I.T Officer (Scale I): Obtained a 4 year Engineering/ Technology Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation.

OR

Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications.

OR

Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.

For Agricultural field Officer (Scale I): Must have obtained 4 year Degree (graduation) in the given courses:

For HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Full time Post Graduate degree or Full time Post Graduate diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR/ HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law (dual specialisations)

For Marketing Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Full time MMS (Marketing) / MBA (Marketing) / Full time 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

IBPS Specialist Officer Exam Pattern 2017

Note – Given below is exam pattern of last year. This time as there will be prelims as well as mains, exam pattern will be different.

The question paper will be available in two mediums i.e., English or Hindi. The online examination will consist of objective type questions. One fourth or 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Is a question is left blank i.e., no answer has been marked, no marks will be deducted.

IBPS Specialist Officer Admit Card and Call letter 2017

Admit cards will be available online on the official website of IBPS few weeks before the commencement of examination. No admit cards will be provided through post/courier. Candidates who will successfully submit the application form will be issued admit cards. The same information will be intimated through SMS and mail. Venue, date and time of the examination will be provided in the admit card. To download your admit card, you will need to enter Registration Number, Date of Birth or Password in the required fields and then click “Submit”.

It is mandatory for students to carry their admit cards for the examination. No student will be allowed to sit for the examination without an admit card. After downloading the admit card check if all the details provided in the admit card are correct or not. If you find any discrepancy in the admit card report the issue to the concerned IBPS authorities. Also dont throw away your admit card after the exam is over, keep it safe until the admission process is not over, as it may be required at various stages of recruitment.

Only those candidates who will successfully qualify in the preliminary examination will be issued call letters for main exam. The call letters will be made available online on IBPS official website after the result of online exam is announced i.e., January 2018.

Candidates will have to bring a valid photo-identity proof in original and a photocopy along with admit card/call letter. The photo identity proof could be any of the following:

  1. Passport
  2. Driving Licence
  3. Voter’s Card
  4. Bank Passbook with photograph
  5. Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer
  6. People’s Representative along with a photograph
  7. Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ university
  8. Aadhar card with a photograph
  9. Employee ID

IBPS Specialist Officer Result 2017

The selection process is based on the performance and qualifying marks scored by the candidate in examination. The result for online examination is expected to be out on January 2018 and February 2018. The result will be published on IBPS official website. Qualifying candidates who will successfully clear first stage i.e preliminary examination will have to appear for main exam.

IBPS SPL Provisional Allotment

After the exam is over, depending on the vacancies to be filled, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to any of the participating organisations. The provisional allotment shall begin form on or before first week of May 2018. The allotment shall be on the basis of merit-cum-preference basis.

In case if two candidates secured same marks, merit order will be decided as per Date of Birth which means preference will be given to the one who will be senior in age.

As the provisional allotment once made by the candidate, cannot be changed for any reason. Any request for change may lead to cancellation of candidature.
