Eligibility Criteria

Interested aspirants who wish to apply for IBPS SO Exam, must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions as laid down by IBPS. The eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS SO is given below:


A candidate should be an Indian National. Applicants subject of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibetan Refugees (who arrived in India before 1st January 1962) are also eligible to apply.

IBPS SO Admit Card 2019

The IBS SO Admit card 2019 is released to the eligible candidates in online mode at the official website. Hall ticket for all the phases is available to the candidates separately for all the phases. The IBPS does not send the hardcopy of the students at their postal address. As soon as the admit card is released, the candidates also get the information on their registered contact details via SMS and email. The admit card acts as a key to enter the exam hall. So, candidates must keep it carefully until the completion of the recruitment process.

On the exam day, it is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card along with valid id proof. Candidates will not be permitted to sit of the exam without the relevant documents. So, do not forget to carry it on the exam day.

Result of IBPS SO 2019

The IBPS announces the IBPS SO result in 3 phases for all the recruitment phases and interview round. The candidates can check the result available in online mode at the official website. Students must keep the print out of the result for future purposes. Forst the result of the Prelims is declared. After that, the declaration of the Mains exam result followed by the interview is done. The release of the final merit list is as per the performance of the candidates in all the stages.

IBPS SO 2019 Salary

The candidates who qualify all the stage are eligible for the final appointment. Aspirants are recruited for the position of the IBPS SO with In-hand salary of Rs. 23,700/- to 42,020/-. The salary of the Scale-1 officer also includes allowances. Check the allowances given below.

  • Basic Pay: Applicants who clear all the stages are recruited on the basic pay of Rs. 23,700.
  • Dearness Allowance (DA): The dearness allowance of Rs. 7,986 (33.7% of the Basic Pay) and is revised quarterly.
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): Also, the HRA of Rs. 1,659 (7-9% of the Basic Pay.) as per the posting of the candidates.
  • Special Allowance: Rs. 1836.75 (7.75% of Basic Pay) is the special allowance for the IPS SO post.
  • City Compensatory Allowance (CCA For Metro Cities): Those who get posted in the metropolitan cities get Rs. 600 – 870 (3-4% of Basic Pay) as the CCA.
  • DA on Special Allowance: Special allowance of Rs. 618.98 (33.7% of Special Allowance) is also given to the students who get recruited for the IBPS SO post.

IBPS SO Cut-off

Each candidate will have to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also obtain sufficiently high scores to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview.
