UPSC IES Preparation tips
The candidate should refer to the books, these books have model question papers and also previous years question papers. It is required that the candidate solves this thoroughly. Candidates should revise 2 topics in a day, a hard topic and an easy topic. Since it is not possible to cover the entire syllabus, the main focus should be given to the topics which carry maximum marks. In the descriptive type answers for the main examination, the candidate should maintain a neat and structured presentation. Diagrams are a must. This fetches you at least 10 marks extra over other candidates. One can get at least 40 – 50 marks because of good presentations. While taking mock exams, candidates should aim at finishing the paper within 2.5 hours.
