Department of Public Instruction, Government has released the KARTET Admit Card 2018 on January 24, 2019. The admit card has been released at the official website i.e. schooleducation.kar.nic.in. The admit card has been issued for the KARTET examination to be held on February 03, 2019. The paper I and II will be held on the same day. KARTET 2018 certificate validity for a period of seven years. There is no restriction to the number of attempts candidates can have for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligible candidates can apply for KARTET 2018. Karnataka TET 2018

Application form submission will be released online at the Official website. There are two papers namely Paper I (for classes I to V teacher) and Paper II (for classes VI to VIII teachers). If you are intending to be eligible for all classes, then appear in both Paper I and II, otherwise in only one. Once you apply for KARTET 2018, you will get registration number and login details.

Admit card for KARTET 2018

Admit Card for the written examination has been released on the official website. The admit card is containing the candidate name, roll number, father name, examination name, exam center, exam timing etc. On the day of the examination for all the candidates, it is mandatory to carry a hard copy of the admit card and one valid photo id proof i.e. aadhar card, pan card, voter id card, passport etc. The candidates who will not carry their admit  card those will be not allowed to appear for the examination.

Candidates who are interested and going to participate in Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test 2018, can fill the application form as per schedule mention below. Candidates are advised to read the instruction carefully before filling the application form.

Educational Qualification: The applicants must possess 12th with at least 50% marks or B.A / B.Sc Graduation & Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Eligibility Criteria of KARTET 2018

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I to V: Primary Stage – Paper I

  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII: Elementary Stage – Paper II

  • B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

Application Form of KARTET 2018

The application form of KARTET 2018 will start on the said day, the eligible candidates will able to apply online. The candidates have to pay the application fee to complete the form. The application form will be available online, except for this no other mode will be available to do so. The candidates can make the payment by using the Debit Card, Credit Card, or through Offline as well. The candidates should note that the application fee differs for category and paper wise. If a candidates fill both of the paper then he/she have to pay a different amount. The differentially abled person is exempted from paying the application fee.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

All questions in KARTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of KARTET

  • Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
