Through this recruitment process, NTPC limited will fill 79 vacancies for various posts. As per the latest notification of NTPC limited, Selected applicants will undergo training for a period of two years at NTPC sites and after completion of training period, these candidates will be recruited at regular pay scale. Eligibility Criteria
Below we mentioned the eligibility conditions for recruitment of Diploma Engineers, ITI pass-outs and Graduates Candidates at NTPC Lara, District Raigarh, Chhatiisgrah. Only those applicants who possess the required qualifications and fitful the other conditions are eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:
- For ITI / Assistant (General) / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainees: Upper age limit is 37 Years as on last date of application.
- For Diploma Trainees: Upper age limit is 35 Years as on last date of application.
Education Qualification:
Candidates who have acquired the qualification through distance learning mode shall not be eligible.
- ITI (Filter) Trainee: 10th pass + Full time Regular ITI Course in Filter Trade. The course must be approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- ITI (Electrician) Trainee: 10th pass + Full time Regular ITI Course in Electrician Trade. The course must be approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- ITI (Instrument Mechanic) Trainee: 10th pass + Full time Regular ITI Course in Mechanic/Electronics Trade. The course must be approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- Assistant (General) Trainee: Full time Graduate + English typing 30WPM / 150 Keystrokes Per Minute.
- Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainee: Full time Regular B.Sc with Chemistry (Chemistry must be subject in Final Year) / Graduate in Industrial / Applied Chemistry.
- Diploma Trainee (Electrical): Full time regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Exam Pattern

For ITI / Assistant (General) / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainees:
- 1st Stage Written Test: It is divided into two Parts.
- Part – I will be knowledge Test of 70 MCQ in respective discipline as advertised.
- Part – II will be aptitude test of 50 MCQ on on General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning.
- Duration of test: 2 hours
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Cut Off Marks: For General category candidates, the qualifying marks for Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test are 40% and 30% respectively. There is a relaxation of 25% in qualifying marks of written test in both Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
- 2nd Stage Skill Test: On basis of Result in 1st Stage test shortlisted Candidates will be called for Skill test. However, the skill test will only be of qualifying nature.
For Diploma Trainees:
- 1st Stage Written test:
- Written Aptitude Test of 120 multiple choice questions covering General English, Quantitative aptitude & Reasoning.
- Duration of test: 2 hours.
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark.
- Cut Off Marks: There is qualifying marks (40% marks in case of General category and 30% in case of SC/ST/OBC/ PwBD candidates).
- 2nd Stage Written Test: Candidates shortlisted in 1st Stage test will appear in 2nd Stage.

- Duration of test: 2 hours.

Selection Procedure for NTPC ITI Diploma Trainee Job 2019
Selection of candidates will be done through Written and Technical / Skill Test for various posts mentioned above.
For ITI Trainees / Assistant (General) Trainees / Lab Assistant (Chemistry)Trainees: There are two stages of recruitment for these posts. First Stage is written Test which have cutoffs marks for it and Second Stage is Skill test which will only be of qualifying nature. On qualifying skill test, offer of appointment shall be issued based on merit of written Test only.
For Diploma Trainees: There are two stages of recruitment for these posts. First Stage is written Aptitude Test and Second Stage is Written Technical Test. Each stage has their own cut off marks for it. Final selection will be based on overall merit in 2nd stage written Test only. Offer of appointment shall be issued based on merit.
Medical examination
Selected applicants will have to undergo medical examination by NTPC Medical Board and the decision of the board will be final and binding. Appointment will be subject to meeting the medical norms prescribed by the Company. No relaxation in medical norms is allowed. Detailed medical norms are available on the website.

Reservation and Relaxations
- Reservations and relaxations for SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / ESM / PwBD (degree of disability 40% or above) / EWS candidates will be provided as per Government guidelines. Relaxations will be extended in vacancies identified for SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / PwBD/EWS candidates.
- Category once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.
- No registration fee will be charged from candidates.
- The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. It is relaxed by 10 years for PwBD-General, 13 years for PwBD-OBC(NCL) and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST candidates.
- The OBC candidates who belong to “Creamy Layer” are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year (FY 2019-20).
- Only eligible Land Oustees who have not availed benefits earlier from NTPC for the purpose of employment will be given preference. Eligibility of land oustees for consideration in this exclusive recruitment drive shall be subject to verification/certification from District Administration, Raigarh.
General Information and Instruction
- All qualifications should be from Indian Institutes recognized by BTE / AICTE / NCVT/ SCVT – appropriate statutory authority.
- TA/DAwill not be paid to any candidate appearing for the written test.

Ans: All applicants are advised to submit application for only one post since it is expected that the date and timing of the written test may be the same for all posts.

Q.3. When the relevant particulars i.e. the community/ age relaxation requirements/ disability status/ year of birth etc. do not appear in the corresponding parameters available in the drop-out menu. How should I fill up the relevant columns?
Ans: Before filling up the application, please check that you have selected the right examination in case more than one exam is notified during that period, although it may not happen as the required columns along with the drop-down menu for selection and inputting the information is available on the online form for a particular examination.
Q.4: How to convert grade to mark?
Ans: The Institution or University, from which the candidate obtained the certificate, has a set of principles for conversion of grade / grade points to marks and from CGPA to percentage of marks. Therefore candidates are advised to obtain the conversion formula from the institution or the university and accordingly calculate the marks or percentage of marks and fill up the relevant box in the online application form.
