Probation Period: The period of probation is of two years with effect from the date of appointment.

Age Limit ( August 01, 2018): 21 to 32 years

Educational Qualifications: First Calss Master Degree or equivalent in concerned discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: A Candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age on the August 01, 2018 i.e. he / she must have been born not earlier than August 02, 186 and not later than August 01, 1997.

Date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent Certificate issued by the concerned Board / Council will only be accepted by the Commission.

Other Eligibility Conditions

  • The candidate must be citizen of India.
  • The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed a language test in Odia equivalent to that of Middle English School standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Application Form

Interested Candidates are advised to carefully go through the eligibility criteria before applying. Candidates must fill the application form and submit with application fee on or before last date of application form. Applications after last date will not be accepted by the Commission. Application Fee: Rs. 300/- only. There is no fee for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled tribe of Odisha and person with Disability (more than 40%).

Scheme of Examination

The examination will be conducted in the following successive stages:-

  • Written Examination
  • Interview (Personality Test)

The written examination will be conducted in General English, General Knowledge and concerned subjects. General English and General Knowledge will be covered in one paper consisting of 100 marks (50 marks each) & the examination shall be of 2 hours duration. The examination will be conducted in objective type pattern. There shall be negative marking of 25% weightage.

The examination in the concerned subject will cover 400 marks consisting of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II having 200 marks each. The examination will be in objective type pattern & each papers shall be of 3 hours duration. Candidates are required to answer the paper in English only.

Admit Card

Certificate of Admission to the Examination to the eligible candidates will be uploaded in the website of OPSC and also here prior to the date of examination which will be published in the Website and Newspaper. The candidates are required to download their Admission Certificate from the website of Commission or from here and produce the same at the examination center for admission to the examination. No seperate correspondence will be made on this score.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the recruitment to the post of lecturer in OTE and TS Cadre will consist of the following seccessive stages.

  • Written Examination – 500 Marks
  • Interview (Personality Test) – 50 Marks

Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in both the test.

Interview

The candidate, who will secure qualifying marks in the written examination as may be fixed by the Commission, will be called for Interview in order of Merit provided that where the number of vacancies is upto 2, the number of candidates to be called for interview shall be 5 and where the number of vacancy exceeds 3, the number of candidates to be called for interview shall be twice the number of vacancies. The Commission shall conduct the Interview for 50 Marks.

Result

The merit list shall be prepared by taking both the marks in the written examinations of General English, General Knowledge, Subject Papers (Paper I & II) and interview together discipline-wise and a combined merit list of all discipline advertised through a common advertisement shall be prepared by the commission and intimated to the Government and also published here.

Important Points

  • Admission to the Examination / Interview will be Provisional. If on verification at any stages before or after the examination / Interview, it is found that a candidate does not fulfill all the eligibility conditions, his / her candidature will be liable to rejection. Decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility orotherwise of candidate shall be final;
  • If one candidate furnishes more than one online application, the Commission will consider the information / data of the latest application having higher ID number.
