Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Junior Clerk in various district/range/circle of Government of Odisha. OSSSC Junior Clerk Recruitment 2017-18 – Result & Selection List
The result has been declared for the candidates appeared in the examination. The result is upload on the official website of OSSSC as per the scheduled dates only. The result is consist of the scores obtained by the candidates in the examination. Candidates can check their result by using their roll number and password at the official website. The Select lists of qualified candidates has prepared for each district and each range/circle for which the candidates have applied. The final Merit list is on the basis of the scores obtained by the qualified in written/practical examination along with the marks awarded for the contractual work experience in any organisation of Government of Odisha.
Vacancy Details
- Total No. of Vacancies: 823
- Age Limit: Between 18 years to 32 years
- Educational Qualification: Passed in 10+2 or equivalent from the recognised school.
- Selection Process: The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of two tests i.e. Written Test and Practical Skill Test.
- Application Fee: All applicants other than SC, ST category and Persons with Disabilities have to pay Exam Fee of Rs. 100/- as per scheduled date.
OSSSC Junior Clerk Recruitment 2017-18 – Application Process
Eligible candidates need to fill the application form for the OSSC Junior Clerk Recruitment 2017-18 examination. The application forms are available online on the official website of OSSSC i.e. osssc.gov.in Candidates interested in both the cadres need to indicate their preference in the application form. Candidates are required to register themselves, uploading all the required documents, paying the examination fee, filing the application form and lastly, take a printout of the pdf containing filled-in application form for the future reference. Candidates are required to complete the application process between the above-mentioned dates only as after the last date, the system will be automatically disabled and will not accept any applications.
Eligibility Criteria
Before applying the candidates need to satisfy all the relevant eligibility requirements for the recruitment to the concerned post. The eligibility criteria for the candidates are as follows:
Citizenship – The candidates must be a citizen of India.
Age – Candidates must have minimum 18 years of age and maximum 32 years of age as on April 1, 2017. The relaxation is provided to the reserved categories by:
- 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women Category Candidates
- 10 years to PWD Category Candidates
Academic Qualification– Passed in Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with knowledge in basic computer skills.
OSSSC Junior Clerk Recruitment 2017-18 – Admit Card
After the successful application, the candidates get their Admit Card before the day of examination. The admit card is available on the official website of OSSSC i.e. osssc.gov.in. Candidates can download their admit card by entering the required details from the official website as per the scheduled dates. The admit card contains examination details such as exam venue, date and time etc. Candidates have to carry the admit card at the time of the examination as without it the candidates is not allowed to appear for the examination.

The recruitment process consists of two tests: one is Written Test and second is Practical Skill Test. The distribution to both the examination is as given in the table below:

OSSSC Junior Clerk Recruitment 2017-18 – Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of two tests i.e. Written Test and Practical Skill Test. Firstly, the candidates need to appear for the Written Test and qualify the test. The qualified candidates of written test can appear for the Practical Skill Test. The final selection will be based on the total marks scored by the qualified candidates in both written test and practical skill test taken together.
Counselling
After the declaration of result, the qualified candidates will be called for the last stage of recruitment process i.e. counselling. The counselling will be on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in both tests taken together. The counselling schedule will be uploaded on the official website of OSSSC. Candidates will have to carry all the important documents for the verification process at the time of counselling. Candidates will be recruited for the concerned only after fulfilling all the requirements of the recruitment process.
