The RRB JE admit card (e-call letter) for CBT-I under CEN 04/2026 is out: the RRBs posted the download link on 23 October 2026, for the exam on 27 and 28 October 2026. The 28 October exam at the Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada centres of Andhra Pradesh was postponed and rescheduled to 2 November 2026; those candidates can download the city slip / e-call letter from 30 October 2026. The city intimation slip link went live on 17 October 2026. The recruitment covers the posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) across 4,029 vacancies after Corrigendum-1.
How to download the RRB JE 2026 e-call letter
- Open the e-call letter link listed under CEN 04/2026 on the RRB notice board. It leads to a candidate login page on rrb.digialm.com.
- Enter your Registration Number and, as the password, your date of birth (the page shows the example 26/01/1990). The login page says you can get your registration number from rrbapply.gov.in with your credentials, or from your registered email.
- The city and date intimation is shown about 10 days before your exam date, and the e-call letter can be downloaded 4 days (tentatively) before the date shown on it. No call letter is sent by post.
- SC and ST candidates who opted for free travel get the free sleeper class railway pass printed on the e-call letter itself.
- For queries, the city slip notice of 17 October 2026 gives the helpdesk number 9513166371, Monday to Saturday, 09:00 am to 06:00 pm.
The schedule changed once. A notice of 16 September 2026 listed 27, 28 and 30 October 2026; the revised notice of 2 October 2026 cut it to 27 and 28 October 2026.
What to check on the call letter
The CBT centre, date and shift printed on the e-call letter are final, and no request to change them is entertained. Getting a call letter does not mean your candidature has been accepted: your photograph and signature are checked at the centre before you are allowed to take the exam. Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done before entry, so bring your original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar and keep your Aadhaar unlocked in the UIDAI system. Your Aadhaar should carry your correct name, date of birth as per your Class 10 certificate, latest photograph and father's name.
What to carry and what is banned at the RRB JE CBT
- The e-call letter with a valid original photo ID: Voter ID, Aadhaar card, e-Aadhaar printout, driving licence, PAN card, passport, an employer ID for government employees, or a school or college ID if you are still studying. Without it you will not be allowed to appear.
- A colour passport photograph not older than two months from the date of the CBT.
- Write the self-declaration paragraph, sign and give your left thumb impression only in the exam hall, in front of the invigilator. A declaration written in advance, or a signature in CAPITAL letters, is rejected.
Only the e-call letter is allowed inside. CEN 04/2026 bans mobile phones, watches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, health bands, calculators, pens and pencils (a pen is provided), belts, handbags, caps, purses, cameras, water bottles and food. Do not apply henna or mehndi on your hands or feet, as it obstructs biometric capture. A cloak room may not be available. Being found with a mobile phone or any wireless device, even switched off, means cancellation of candidature and debarment from RRB examinations.
The CBT-II call letter
CBT-I is a screening test of 100 questions in 90 minutes. Candidates up to 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB are shortlisted for CBT-II on normalised CBT-I marks, and only they get a CBT-II call letter. CBT-II has 150 questions in 120 minutes (160 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates), with a virtual calculator on screen. In the previous cycle, CEN 05/2025, the CBT-II city slip link went up on 22 June 2026 and the e-call letter link on 28 June 2026, for a CBT-II held on 2 July 2026.
