Recruitment Phases for RRB Ministerial 2020

It is significant for the aspirants if they know the stages involved in the recruitment process of Ministerial and Isolated categories before starting the preparation for it. The posts which come under RRB Ministerial are Stenographer, Chief Law Assistant, Staff and Welfare Inspector, Junior Translator (Hindi), Trained Graduate Teacher, Postgraduate Teacher, Cook, Dance Mistress, Music Mistress, etc. Check the stages given below as per which candidates are eligible for the appointment.
RRB Ministerial Computer Based Test (CBT) 2020
Candidates taking part in the recruitment process are required to undergo the first stage which is a computer-based test. It is crucial for the candidates to know the exam pattern to start their preparation. Check the details given below.
Nature of Exam: The CBT will have the objective type questions in which four alternatives will be given in each question.
Duration of the CBT: Students will get 90 minutes for the exam. PwBD category candidates will get 120 minutes.
Number of Questions: There are going to be a total of 100 questions in the CBT.
Subjects: The questions are going to be asked from the topics listed below.

- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Science
Marking Scheme: For every wrong answer, ⅓ marks will be deducted from the total score.

Cut-off Marks for RRB Ministerial CBT 2020
In order to be eligible for the next round, candidates need to score the minimum qualifying marks as given in the table below. The cut-off percentage is different for each category. Candidates can check the table below.

RRB Ministerial Skill Test / Translation Test 2020
As per the posts applied by the candidates in the RRB Ministerial, the candidates need to undergo the tests given below.
Shorthand Test (Stenography Skill Test)
The number of candidates shortlisted for this round is 10 times the number of vacancies.
Maximum Marks: The skill test will be of 300 marks.
Typing Tools: Students cannot use any kind of editing tools and spell check facility. The Hindi fonts such as KrutiDev and Mangal will be made available on the personal computer.
Candidates are required to have a certain typing speed to clear this round given in the table below.

Translation test (For Junior Translator Hindi)
In the translation tets, both English and Hindi skills of the candidates are assessed. Refer to the table below to know the weight-age given to each section.

To clear the translation test, candidates need to secure 60% marks.
Performance Test / Teaching Skill Test (For Post Graduate Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers, Physical Training Instructor, Assistant Mistress / Junior School)
Duration of the test: The skill test is of 15-30 Minutes.
Candidates applying for the post of PGT and TGT Arts Masters needs to have skills like relative approach, Aesthetic sensibilities, Observation skill, interpretation and Originality, Correlation with real life, Experimentation with different art Modes and mediums, Proportion in size and clarity and importance of color, balance, and brightness. This round will be of 100 marks, and weight-age of 25% will be given to this round.
Those candidates who are applying for Primary Teacher (Music), Primary Teacher (Dance) and Art Master (PGT / TGT) should possess skills like various instrumental music, performance of dance, Presentation Skill, Coordination, Expression, Energy level, Rhythm, Experimentation with art forms, imagination and innovation and Artistic temperament.
In the teaching test, candidates Teaching Ability, Teaching Methodology, Content Expertise, Appropriateness of material, Incorporation of the recent development in the discipline, Communication skill, Presentation Skill, Classroom Management Skill, understanding of Subject Matter, Problem Solving ability, Decision making, Creativity, Leadership & Motivation Quality is tested.
Duration of the exam: The skill test will be of 15-30 Minutes.
Marks: Translation Test is going to be of 150 marks.
Note: The skill test is given a weight-age of 15%.
RRB Ministerial Document Verification 2020
Candidates clearing the above 2-stages successfully will be eligible for the Document Verification. The number of candidates called for this round is 50% more than the number of vacancies. In this round, candidates need to produce the original as well as two sets of the self-attested photocopies of the documents on the specified date. Here is the list of the documents which candidates need to carry on the document verification day.

- Gazetted notification or any Legal document in case change in name
- Receipt or Pay-in-slip if payment is done through offline mode
- Self-Certification by the Transgender candidates
- Eligibility certificate by Government of India
- Death certificate (For widow proving that the candidate has not remarried)
- Decree of divorce or judicial separation issued by the court stating that the candidate has not remarried
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) (In case of a Govt. employee)
- Minority declaration on Non-judicial Stamp Paper. (If Applicable)
Note: Candidates can only present the documents in Hindi or English. If the document is in some other language then one must produce the self-attested translated version of the same. Failure of submission of the relevant documents will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
Medical Test for RRB Ministerial 2020
The final appointment of the candidates is after passing the medical test. The medical standards vary as per the post applied by the candidate. The medical fitness test checks that the candidate is eligible to carry out the duties or not. An important to be recruited in the railway staff is the visual acuity standard.
Those candidates who fail to pass the medical examination will be ineligible for the final appointment. So, candidates must ensure that they qualify the medical exam conducted by the railway administration. Students can check the medical criteria for all the posts which come under RRB Ministerial.
- B1: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without specs (Power of the lenses not more than 4D). - C2: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/12 or Nil with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn: 0.6 combined with or without glasses while reading or doing some close work.
