RRB Ministerial Skill Test 2020: Eligibility Conditions

- Those students who have passed the computer-based test can only appear for skill test as per the post applied.
- Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks specified for each category are eligible for the RRB Ministerial Skill Test.

RRB Ministerial Skill Test Exam Pattern 2020

Shorthand Test (Stenography Skill Test)
For this round, the number of candidates selected is 10 times the number of total vacancies.
Total Marks: The skill test is going to be of 300 marks.
Typing Tools: In this round, the candidates are not allowed to use, any editing tools or spell check facility. The Hindi fonts like KrutiDev and Mangal are going to be there on the personal computer.
To clear the shorthand test, students need to to have a typing speed of both English and Hindi. Refer to the table below.

Translation test (For the Junior Translator Hindi Posts)
The translation test, asses the candidates both English and Hindi skills. Check the table below to know the number of questions which will be asked from each subject.

Students have to secure the 60% marks in the translation test to be eligible for the next round which is document verification.
Performance Test or Teaching Skill Test
(For Post Graduate Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers, Physical Training Instructor, Assistant Mistress / Junior School Posts)
Duration of the test: The performance test or teaching skill test is of 15-30 Minutes.
Maximum Marks: It will be of total 100 marks.
Those who are applying for the PGT and TGT Arts Masters need to possess skills like Relative Approach, Aesthetic sensibilities, Observation skill, interpretation and Originality, Correlation with real life, Experimentation with different art Modes and mediums, Proportion in size and clarity and importance of color, balance, and brightness.
Note: 25% of the weight-age is given to the teaching skill test.
Candidates applied for the Primary Teacher (Music), Primary Teacher (Dance) and Art Master (PGT / TGT) are assessed on the various instrumental music, the performance of dance, Presentation Skill, Coordination, Expression, Energy level, Rhythm, Experimentation with art forms, imagination and innovation and artistic temperament.
In the Teaching Skill Test, students knowledge on Teaching Ability, Teaching Methodology, Content Expertise, Appropriateness of material, Incorporation of the recent development in the discipline, Communication skill, Presentation Skill, Classroom Management Skill, understanding of Subject Matter, Problem Solving ability, Decision making, Creativity, Leadership & Motivation Quality are assessed.
Marks: The skill test will be of 150 marks.
Note: This round holds a total weight-age of 15%.
RRB Ministerial Admit Card for Skill Test 2020
The Board releases the admit card for only those candidates who have secured the cut-off marks in the CBT. The RRB Ministerial Admit Card 2020 is released in online mode at the zonal websites of the RRB. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration number and date of birth as admit card is available over login. On the day of the exam, candidates need to carry the admit card along with the identity proof and passport size photograph.
The admit card of RRB Ministerial contains important details related to the exam like exam center, date of the exam, timings of the exam, complete address of the test center, exam batch, reporting time, etc. So, candidates must keep it in good condition until the completion of the recruitment process. The hall ticket is not sent to the candidates via post or courier.
RRB Ministerial Selection Process 2020
The selection of the candidates for the RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories 2020 is on the basis of three stages, CBT, Skill Test followed by Document Verification. Selection Process – Explained!
Computer-Based Test (First Stage): The first stage is the CBT in which the questions are asked as per the post applied. To clear the screening test, candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the next round. The CBT is an aptitude test which tests the IQ of the candidate.
Skill Test (Second Stage): In the skill test, the candidates undergo a test based upon the post applied. There is a various test which comes under skill tests like shorthand skill test, translation test, performance test, and teaching skill test. Only those candidates are eligible for this round who clears the CBT round successfully.
Document Verification (Third Stage): In the document verification, candidates need to carry the necessary documents on the specified date, time and venue. The round confirms the eligibility claims of the candidate. The students need to carry the original as well as two sets of self-attested photocopies of the documents. In case, a candidate fails to submit the relevant documents then, it will lead to the cancelation of the candidature.
