CG SET 2022 – The Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test is a state-level competitive examination organized by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. CG SET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The CPEB has framed minimum eligibility criteria for the candidates appearing for the CG SET 2022 examination. Candidates are required to fulfill those eligibility criteria to be eligible for the exam. Check out the minimum eligibility criteria for applying the CG SET 2022:

Age limit

• There is no age limit to apply for CG SET 2022 exam.

Educational qualification

• Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD)
• Candidates in their final year Master’s degree are also eligible to apply. They must complete the degree within 02 years of publication of CG SET 2022 results.

CG SET 2022 Application Form 

The CG SET application form 2022 is available as per schedule on the official website of CPEB vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. Candidates are required to submit the application form within the period allotted; or else, the application stands cancelled. Check out the procedures below to apply for the CG SET 2022:

• Visit the official CPEB website- vyapam.cgstate.gov.in
• On the homepage find the ‘Online Applications’ option. 
• Click on that option.
• On the next page, find the link for CG SET and open that link.
• Click on the link to the CG SET online application form.
• Enter the personal and educational details required to fill the application form.
• Upload photo and signature in the format prescribed and click on submit when done.
• Lastly, pay the fees according to the category of the candidate. 
• Take a printout of the CG SET application form and the fee receipt for future reference.

CG SET Application Fee

To complete the application process, candidates have to pay the fees for the CG SET. The fees can be paid via online mode using net banking/ debit card/ credit card. The option for this is available in the payment option. Here are the details of the fee structure for the CG SET 2022:

CG SET 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for the CG SET is released online through the official website of CPEB vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. The syllabus is available in the format of PDF. CG SET 2022 Exam Pattern

The CG SET exam comprises 2 papers. Paper 1 is the general paper common for all aspirants and paper 2 comprises the subject specialization. The candidate has to choose their subject of specialization for paper 2. Here are the details of the CG SET 2022 exam pattern:

• Language: English & Hindi
• Exam Mode: Offline
• Papers: 02 papers
• Number of questions: Paper 1 – 50; Paper-2 -100
• Type of questions: MCQ type
• Duration: 60 minutes for Paper-1; 120 minutes for Paper-2

• Marks for each correct answer = 2 marks
• Marks for wrong answer = 0 marks 

Preparation Tips For CG SET 2022

To clear the CG SET 2022 candidates require adequate preparation for the exam Candidates should be aware of the type of questions that are asked in the exam. Here are some tips which might be of use for the candidates appearing for the CG SET

Explore the syllabus provided by the conducting body. Cover the syllabus thoroughly and concentrate on the areas where the syllabus is specific. All the questions shall be from the syllabus mentioned.

Download the previous year’s CG SET exam questions and conduct a self mock-test. This helps the aspirants to focus on the area where the questions are asked. Moreover,  this helps the candidate to understand the question pattern and focus on time management. 

Prepare short notes on the topic where the syllabus is vast. This would help the aspirants to organize and memorize the syllabus accordingly.

CG SET Admit Card 2022

The admit card for the CG SET is released by the CPEB soon after the application process is over. Candidates have to visit the official website of CPEB vyapam.cgstate.gov.in to download their hall tickets. CG SET Admit card is mandatory for the candidates appearing for the CG SET exam. Candidates without a printout copy of their hall ticket will not be allowed inside the examination hall. The admit card contains the details of the examination centre and the timings of the exam.   

CG SET 2022 Answer Key

The CG SET answer key is released soon after the CG SET exams. The answer key is released on the official website of the conducting body vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. The answer key is available subject-wise separately. The option to raise objections against the answer key is also available for the candidates. For officially raising an objection candidates need to have the correct solution to the question for which the challenge is raised. The objections are then evaluated by the expert’s body. After scrutiny and evaluation, they release a final answer key with the updated answers. No more objections will be accepted once the final answer key is out.

CG SET 2022 Result

Once the final answer key is released, the conducting body then soon publishes the final result. The final result is evaluated based on the updated final answer key. The result is published online on the official website of CPEB vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. Candidates can check their CG SET result using the roll number provided in the admit card. E-certificates are provided to all those qualified candidates. Candidates awarded with the CG SET certificate are eligible to apply for the assistant professor post in the colleges and universities across the state of Chhattisgarh

CG SET 2022 Qualifying Marks

The CPEB has kept a minimum qualifying mark for the CG SET to pass the exam. But to obtain a CG SET certificate candidates have to clear the cut-off marks and be in the top 6 %. The details for the qualifying marks of the CG SET 2022 is as follows:

CG SET Cut-offs

Securing the minimum qualifying mark does not guarantee the candidates with a CG SET certificate. To obtain a CG SET certificate, candidates have to clear the cut-off marks and be in the top 6% of the qualifying candidates. The cut-off marks are decided on the basis of the average marks obtained in the CG SET 2022 exam, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and the difficulty level of the exam.
