What After Qualifying IAS 2021 Mains?
Candidates after qualifying IAS mains exam have to submit IAS Detailed Application Form (DAF) for mains. Know complete details on IAS DAF 2021 here:
- Aspirants can submit UPSC IAS 2021 DAF through upsconline.nic.in
- Before appearing for interview test, aspirants have to mark their preference of services in DAF-II
- These preference should be marked based on candidate’s interest to be allocated in case of selection
- Candidates have to upload certain documents while submitting DAF
- No change in the preference is allowed once the DAF-II is submitted.

IAS Selection Procedure
The Union Public Service Commission follows some tough selection rounds for its most prestigious job- IAS. At first, the applicants have to clear the Prelims exam, then only they can appear on the Mains Exam, after clearing the Mains Exam .i.e securing the minimum passing marks more than the cut-off, they will be shortlisted in the merit list. For each round, a separate result has been released by the UPSC.
UPSC IAS 2022 Prelims
First, UPSC declares the IAS Prelims result in the merit list format. The applicant can check their names and roll numbers in that list, but marks obtained in the Prelims Exam will not be reserved for further Mains exams. This only secures their eligibility to appear at the UPSC Mains Exam.
UPSC IAS 2022 Mains
Similarly, the UPSC declares the IAS Mains results by publishing a merit list through pdf. It includes the names and roll numbers of the qualified candidates; details about the cut-off marks and a mark sheet for the qualified applicants are also provided by the UPSC.

After the completion of the interview, UPSC declares the final result.
