National Testing Agency is responsible for declaration of CSIR NET result of December 2019 exam. However award of JRF and award letter is by UGC, CSIR, and MHRD. Following are the important dates as per which you can get all the results.

This is a step by step guide to check and download score card of the joint CSIR UGC NET December 2019 exam that has been released on January 15, 2020. Follow these steps to easily get your results.
- Visit the official website of NTA CSIR NET 2019-2020 that is csirnet.nta.nic.in.
- There you will see a red/pink colored button with the text “View Score Card” – click that.
- On the next page, you will see two options – one says “through application number and password”, and the other says “through application number and date of birth”.
- If you click the first link, then a login form will open, where you have to enter your application number, password, and security pin.
- However if you click the second link then a different login form will open where you need to enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin. This useful for those who do not remember their passwords.
- Now as soon as you login, you will see your candidate dashboard. There, scroll down and click “view result”.
- Immediately, your CSIR NET 2019 result score card will open.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the CSIR National Eligibility Test result 2019 indicating scores of all candidates. The result is published at the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. Right now only scores obtained in the exam are available for viewing.
Usually the exam conducting bodies first release result in the form of a pdf file wherein the CSIR NET result contains the roll numbers of all the candidates who have qualified in the examination. This time it seems that that merit list will be available in some time.
To check CSIR UGC NET result 2019, go to the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. Then on the home page, click on the link “View Score Card”. Thereafter page with two options open – “through application number and password”, and “through application number and date of birth”. Candidates can opt for either and login with relevant details. Earlier, National Testing Agency has released the final answer key of Joint CSIR UGC NET 2019 on which the result has been compiled. The answer key was released in the form of pdf containing the serial number, question ID and answer ID.
Significance of CSIR NET Result 2019-2020
Joint CSIR National Eligibility Test is conducted to determine eligibility for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and a Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professorship at Indian Universities and Colleges. The significance of this result is as follows.
- Candidates who qualify for the Lectureship NET become eligible to be Lecturers and also Junior Research Fellowship.
- Candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship get Rs 31,000 per month for the first 2 years. Moreover, the University / Institution also provides an annual contingent grant of Rs.20,000/- per fellow.
Upon completion of two years as a Junior Research Fellowship and if the Fellow is enrolled for Ph. D, the Fellowship will be upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (NET) and the stipend will be raised to Rs.35,000/- p.m (under revision) for the third and following years.
This is why NTA had to postpone the CSIR NET Result
It has been a long wait for science postgraduates throughout the country who appeared in the NTA Joint CSIR NET December 2019 exam. Whereas initially the result was supposed to be announced on December 31, 2019, declaration of result (score) got delayed by half a month past that date.
NTA was supposed to hold the exam on only one date that is December 15, 2019. However due to CAA protests, the exam had to be rescheduled in Assam and Meghalaya to December 27, 2019. This resulted in the answer key and response sheets being released later than planned, that ultimately caused the first postponement in result.
The National Testing Agency released official answer key for life sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, mathematical sciences, and earth sciences papers on January 1, 2020. The window to view them and challenge them was open until January 3, 2020. Then the final answer key was released on January 11, 2020.
When the official answer key was released, the date of declaration of CSIR NET results was given as January 14, 2020. As a result candidates throughout the nation were waiting with bated breath for the CSIR NET results yesterday, on January 14, 2020.
However, it was late in the evening that a short one line notice was put up on the website csirnet.nta.nic.in saying “The score is likely to be declared by tomorrow (15 January 2020)”. The scores finally appeared 15 days after the initial date.
