Savitribai Phule Pune University conducts Maharashtra SET every year to recruit and promote lecturers, assistant professors and research fellows in colleges within the state of Maharashtra. Maharashtra SET or Maharashtra State Eligibility Test is a state-level eligibility test. The exam has two stages namely Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are compulsory and the aggregate of marks scored in both of the papers are compared to qualifying marks.
