RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Recruitment 2019 is open for 10628 RRB NTPC UG and 24649 RRB NTPC PG posts. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of CBT 1, CBT 2, Skill Test / Aptitude Test followed by Document Verification. Through the detailed RRB NTPC CEN 01/2019, RRB has announced most of the dates for the registration. However, the specific exam dates shall be announced later on. Check all the dates for RRB NTPC 2019 from the table below:

RRB NTPC Notice 2019

Railway Recruitment Board has recently released a notice in which they have made changes in the selection process of the RRB NTPC recruitment process, qualification of the scribe etc. Check the notice below to know in details about the amendments in RRB NTPC CEN 01/2019.

Category Change from UR to EWS in RRB NTPC 2019

RRB has recently sent intimidation to the candidates that applicants belonging to EWS category are allowed to present the certificate at the time of DV rather than the time of form filling. Economically Weaker Section category candidates are given an opportunity to change their category from Unreserved (UR) to EWS by logging in with their registration number, password, and captcha. Candidates must note that no modification fee is charged from them for this correction.

In case, a candidate fails to produce the relevant document during the time of document verification then he / she is going to be treated in the UR (Unreserved) category.

RRB NTPC Application Form 2019

Candidates can fill RRB NTPC Application Form only in online mode. To do so, candidates need to register by choosing the RRB and then entering details such as name, email id, phone number, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, SSLC / Matric details, aadhaar number etc. Once registered, an OTP is sent on the registered mobile no and e-mail id. Now,  in order to fill the application form, you have to enter your registration number.

Then, fill up your academic details, community, gender, religion, Minority, Age relaxation etc. Now, choose the option of fee payment by which you want to pay the application fee. Select the posts for which you want to apply, and appointment of scribe, exam language, upload the photograph, signature and caste certificate in the application form.

Application Fee: The payment of fee is mandatory. RRB will refund RRB NTPC Application Fee 2019 to those who will appear for CBT1. The fee and the amount of refund is as follows:

Mode of payment: Candidates can pay the application fee online and offline.

  • Online fee can be paid via debit card or credit card or net banking or UPI.

RRB NTPC 2019 Selection Process

As per the latest notice, the selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the following stages:

(i) Stage 1 Computer Based Test – For All Post
(ii) Stage 2 Computer Based Test – For All Post
(iii) Stage 3 Skill Typing Test / Aptitude Test – Only For Following Post:

  • Computer-based Aptitude Test – for Station Master and Traffic Assistant, Typing
  • Skill Test – for Junior, Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper.

(iv) Stage 4 – Document Verification

RRB NTPC 2019 Eligibility Criteria

RRB will only select those candidates for the recruitment who fulfill the eligibility criteria of RRB NTPC 2019. It is as follows:

Citizenship: The candidates should be a citizen of India. However, the following are also eligible:

  • Resident of Nepal
  • Resident of Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who settled in India, before January 01, 1962.
  • Person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RRB NTPC Education Qualification: The education qualification for RRB NTPC 2019 differ as per the post and is as follows:

  1. Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk – 12th pass with more than 50% marks.
  2. Accounts Clerk Cum Typist – 12th pass with more than 50% marks
  3. Junior Clerk Cum Typist – 12th pass with more than 50% marks
  4. Junior Time Keeper – 12th pass with more than 50% marks
  5. Trains Clerk – 12th pass with more than 50% marks
  6. Commercial Apprentice – Degree from any recognized college.
  7. Station Master – Degree from any recognized college.
  8. Goods Guard – Degree from any recognized college.
  9. Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist – Degree from a recognized college with typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer.
  10. Senior Clerk Cum Typist – Degree from a recognized college with typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer.
  11. Senior Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk – Degree from any recognized college.
  12. Senior Time Keeper – Degree from a recognized college with typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer.
  13. Traffic Assistant – Degree from any recognized college.

Note: 50% marks is not applicable for SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability / Ex-servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage).

Age Limit: The lower and upper age limit for RRB NTPC 2019 is as follows:

  • RRB NTPC UG 2019 – The candidates should be between 18 to 30 years old, as on 01.07.2019.
  • RRB NTPC PG 2019 – The candidate should be between 18 to 33 years old, as on 01.07.2019.

RRB NTPC 2019 First Stage CBT

Candidates can check the selection process of RRB NTPC 2019 in detail. The Computer Based Test is going to be held for all the posts.

Duration of exam – The duration of the exam scheduled to be held as a computer-based test will be 90 minutes. PWD candidates with scribes will get 120 minutes.

Number of questions – There will be 100 questions in the CBT.

Type of questions – All questions are going to be MCQ type.

Marking Scheme – For every correct answer, candidates are going to be awarded 01 marks. 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Subjects – The questions are going to be asked from:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning

RRB NTPC 2019 Second Stage CBT

The candidates selected for the CBT stage 2 exam is 20 times more than the number of vacancies. To know the pattern of examination of CBT second phase, check the information below.

Duration of exam – CBT Stage 2 is going to be of 90 minutes. PwD Category will get 120 minutes for the CBT stage 2.

Number of questions – There will be 120 questions which will be objective type (multiple choice based)

Marking Scheme – Candidates will get 1 mark for every correct answer. For every incorrect answer, 1/3rd marks are going to be deducted from the total score.

RRB NTPC 2019 Cut Off

In order to qualify the Computer Based Test, candidates have to secure the cut off marks which is given in the table below.

RRB NTPC Application Form Correction 2019

After submitting the application form, candidates can also do modifications in the application form if they wish to. In order to make changes in the RRB NTPC Application Form 2019, candidates have to pay the modification fee of Rs 100. Applicants are allowed to make only specific changes in the application form. Candidates can also change the category for example from SC / ST to UR or OBC. In that case, applicants have to pay an additional amount of Rs. 250 along with the modification fee (Rs. 100).

There are some details which cannot be modified like zone, email id, mobile number, and registration no. Candidates can only make changes in the application form of RRB NTPC 2019 twice. After making changes in the application form, candidates should keep the copy of the revised application form for future reference.

RRB NTPC Application Form Status 2019

RRB opens up a portal for the candidates who have filled their application form to check the status of it. Candidates get to know whether their application form has been accepted or rejected. To check the status of RRB NTPC Application Form 2019, applicants have to enter registration no, date of birth and captcha. If the application form of RRB NTPC is accepted the displayed status will be positive. In case of rejection of the form, the displayed status is going be negative. Also, the reason for the rejection of the form will also be mentioned. Also, no application fee is refunded if the application form gets rejected.

RRB NTPC Admit Card 2019

Few weeks after the application process ends, the application status is released by RRB. The candidates whose application form is accepted, gets the admit card. RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) 2019 admit card can be downloaded from the login, by entering user id and date of birth. The candidates need to download the admit card of RRB NTPC and carry it as hard copy on the exam day.

Along with the admit card, one photo id proof and passport size photograph is also to be carried. The admit card is release separately for each round and with it, ST / SC candidates also gets travel authority pass but only if they uploaded category certificate in the form.

RRB NTPC Answer Key 2019

RRB is going to release the answer key for the candidates who have appeared for the CBT exam. The RRB NTPC Answer Key is declared in online mode at the zonal websites of the RRB. The answer key is released after the completion of the CBT exams. Candidates can cross check their answers as per the answer key and will also get the rough idea of marks obtained. Also, aspirants are going to know their chances of being eligible for further rounds of recruitment. Candidates are only going to get the estimate of the marks if they will evaluate their scores as per the answer key.

RRB NTPC Result 2019

Result of RRB NTPC is declared online. Candidates who appeared for the online computer based test can know their RRB NTPC result as merit and scorecard.

Date of declaration of RRB Results is determined by the Zonal Railway Recruitment Board. The number of RRB NTPC Vacancy and registered candidates is always very large. It thus takes some time for RRB NTPC results.

  • Result of RRB NTPC (Graduate) can be checked online by candidates.
  • RRB NTPC Result is published containing Roll Numbers of candidates who have been selected / shortlisted for further stages.
  • After examination RRB NTPC result are announced for RRB NTPC (Graduate) shortlisted candidates must attend next stage.

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test 2019

Candidates who have applied for the posts of Traffic Assistant and Station Master are required to undergo Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Around 8 times more candidates than the number of total vacancies are going to be shortlisted for this round. In this round, candidates have to present the vision certificate in the prescribed format. Applicants failing to submit the required certificate will not be allowed to appear for CBAT.

The merit list prepared for Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is going to be on the basis of 70:30. 70% of the weightage will be given to the marks secured in the CBT stage 2 and 30% to the marks obtained in this round which is, CBAT.

RRB NTPC Typing Skill Test 2019

Those candidates who have applied for the RRB NTPC 2019 posts like Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper have to appear for the typing skill test. This round is qualifying in nature. The candidates selected for the typing test is will be 8 times the number of total vacancies. Candidates should be able to type 30 WPM in English and 25 WPM in Hindi without any kind of tools or spell check.

Candidates who are permanently disabled will be exempted from this round. Such applicants have to present the scanned copy of Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate issued by the Competent Medical Board in the prescribed format.

RRB NTPC Document Verification 2019

As per the performance of the candidates in the CBT Stage 2, Computer Based Aptitude Test or Typing Skill Test, candidates equal to the vacancies are going to be called for this round. Also, 50% more candidates are called as a standby list. Candidates have to carry original as well as two sets of self-attested photocopies of the documents.

There is a tie-breaking criterion in case 2 or more candidates secure equal marks. The tie will be resolved by the criteria of the date of birth, candidates older in age are going to be preferred over the younger one. Here are the following documents listed below which candidates need to carry on the documents verification day.

  1. Class 10 mark sheet or certificate as date of birth proof
  2. 12th Standard certificate or Marksheet
  3. Graduation Degree from a recognized board or Institute
  4. SC / ST certificate (If applicable)
  5. OBC-NCL certificate (If applicable)
  6. Income certificate for Economically Weaker Sections to waive off exam fee
  7. Minority community certificate on a Non-judicial Stamp Paper
  8. Self-Certification by the Transgender candidates
  9. Medical Certificate for PwBD
  10. Discharge certificate and Self-declaration by Ex-servicemen
  11. J & K domicile certificate (if applicable)
  12. Death certificate (In case of widow proving that the candidate has not remarried)
  13. NOC from serving employees and ExSM
  14. Gazette notification or Legal document in case of name change
  15. Receipt or Pay-in-slip if payment is done via SBI or Post Office Challan
  16. Eligibility certificate issued by Government of India
  17. self-declaration by Ex SM candidates who secure civil employment after applying for this CEN
  18. Decree of divorce / judicial separation issued by the court stating that the candidate has not remarried

Note: It is mandatory for the candidates to produce the documents in either English or Hindi. In case the certificates are in some other language then one should present the self-attested translated version of the same.

RRB NTPC Medical Exam 2019

Candidates shortlisted for the document verification round are also required to pass the medical fitness test. A medical exam is conducted to make sure that the candidate is medically fit to carry out the duties for the post applied. An important medical standard is Visual Acuity Standard to be eligible to be appointed for the posts in the railway staff. Candidates can check the medical standards by referring to the table below.
