TNPSC AE 2019- The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) released the notification for the recruitment of 481 vacant posts of Assistant Engineer (AE), this recruitment is for the service within the state of Tamil Nadu which includes in the Combined Engineering Services Examination (CESE) Interested candidates must note that the online application form has been closed by the commission and going to conduct the written examination for the Paper 1 & Paper 2. The pay scale or the salary structure is as per the level – 22 Rs.56,100 –1,77,500/- p.m & level – 20 Rs.37,700 – 1,19,500/- p.m. For more information on TNPSC AE 2019, go through this page.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit 

For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes – No Age Limit
For others – should not have completed 30 Years & for the post of Junior Electrical Inspector the candidate shouldn’t cross 39 years.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for the various vacant posts of Assistant Engineer, which also includes experience for some of the posts under TNPSC AE (CESE) recruitment 2019, it is advised to go through the table given below which indicates the educational qualification & name of the posts.

practical training in surveying for a period of not
less than one year.
OR
II. Should have put in service for a period of not less
than one year in Public Works Department as
Overseer or Junior Engineer.
OR
III Should hold the Upper Subordinate or L.C.E
Diploma of the College of Engineering, Guindy or
L.C.E. Diploma awarded by the State Board of
Technical Education and Training, Chennai

A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch.
Assistant Engineer in Tamil
Nadu Fisheries Department
Must Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering, awarded by any University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
or
A pass in section A and B Examination(AMIE) in Civil Engineering Branch conducted by the Institution of Engineers(India) and practical training in surveying for
a period of not less than one year.
Assistant Engineer (Civil)
(Maritime Board) in Port Service
Must possess B.E. Degree in Civil Engineering.
(or)
Must have obtained a pass in section A & B of the Institution of Examination, with an experience of not less than 3 years after passing the above examination.
Junior ArchitectA degree in Architecture of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Or
A diploma in Architecture awarded by J.J School of Arts, Bombay or By the Government of Maharashtra.

Experience for the post of Assistant Electrical Inspector- Candidate must have practical experience in large electricity supply undertakings or the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board including experience in design office for a period of three years.

Application Form

TNPSC AE has beed released online for the year of 2019 for the recruitment of various vacant posts under Assistant Engineer (AE). Here the applicants must note that the online application has been closed by the TNPSC & the written examination is going to be held for the candidates who already completed the online application procedure & fulfilled the eligibility conditions.

Images to upload- It is always mandatory to upload a recent passport size photograph & signature in a jpg/jpeg format and it should be scanned properly as per the instructions.

How to apply online in simple steps- Visit the official website -> Click on the apply online -> Fill all the required & basic details for one time registration -> Complete the application form by submitting rest of the details -> Upload the scanned images -> Make the payment -> Download & save a copy of online application form for further usage.

TNPSC AE Hall Ticket/Admit Card

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission released the hall ticket/admit card for the candidates who already registered & completed the online application procedure. It is mandatory to carry the hall ticket/admit card on the day of written examination of TNPSC AE (CESE) recruitment 2019. Candidates who are preparing for the examination are advised to download the hall ticket or the admit card in order to appear in the prescribed examination.

After downloading the hall ticket or the admit card it is advised to cross-check all the details mentioned in the hall ticket/admit card like: Candidates name, roll/registration number, date & time of the examination, exam center details & other important instructions.

Selection Process

Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the Applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicant’s appearance in the Written Examination and Oral Test is compulsory. An Applicant who has not appeared for the Written Examination or the Oral Test will not be considered for selection, even if he/she secures qualifying marks for selection.

TNPSC AE Exam Pattern

In this section information related to the pattern/scheme of examination & distribution of marks is given below, candidates can go through for detailed information, it includes the stages i.e. written examination, oral test, interview & records. There are mainly two papers i.e. paper 1 & paper 2 which is for main subject & General Studies respectively.

Total number of marks- 570 (including paper 1 & paper 2).

Duration of the examination- 5 hours.

Subjects- Paper 1 (subject) & Paper 2 (general studies).

TNPSC AE Answer Key

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will release the answer key for the candidates who appeared in the prescribed examination, it helps the candidates to cross-check or to evaluate themselves on the basis of the answer key, which contains all the correct answers and the answers attempted by the candidates during the examination.

The conducting will release a notification regarding the official answer key of TNPSC AE examination 2019. It is advised to get the answer key after its release on the official website of the TNPSC. It is necessary to save & preserve a copy of answer key by the candidates for further clarifications & usage.

TNPSC AE Result

TNPSC AE will announce the result after the completion of exam which is scheduled to be held as per the schedule. TNPSC AE result will be announced online on its official website. Participating candidates can check the result by visiting the official website. It is mandatory to clear all the stages & to qualify the prescribed examination and test in order to get the appointment letter for the Assistant Engineer post.

The final merit list or the selection will be made on the basis of the marks, performance, experience & education qualification of the candidates, the commission holds the rights for the final selection of the candidates.
