Application Form for West Bengal Police Recruitment
The applications are made available on the official website of West Bengal Police. The candidates need to register by providing their basic details such as name, mobile number, email id etc before they can proceed to fill the application form. The applications can be submitted either online or offline. The candidates must make sure that they submit the application form before the application window closes.
The candidates need to enter personal details, contact details, education details and residence information in the application form. Also, scanned copies of photograph and signature need to be uploaded while applying. Strictly follow the specifications while uploading the scanned documents. An application fee amount also needs to be paid while applying for West Bengal Police recruitment.
Selection Procedure for West Bengal Police Recruitment
After successful registration and application, the applicants have to download the admit card for the selection examination. Take a printout of the downloaded admit card and carry to the exam venue on the day of the exam. The selection procedure consists of written tests to check candidates’ mental fitness and general knowledge, physical tests to check candidates’ physical fitness and face to face interview as a final filter to shortlist the candidates.

About West Bengal Police
It was established in the year 1861 under the Police Act,1861 during the British Raj. Director General of Police (DGP) is the head of the department and works under the supervision of Department of Home Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal. West Bengal Police Department works with the motto of “We Care We Dare”. It has its headquarters at Bhabani Bhawan, Kolkata.
The department is divided into 3 police zones namely South Bengal, West Bengal and North Bengal along with a Government Railway Police Zone. Inspector General of Police is the zonal head. The zones are further divided into ranges. There are a total of 7 ranges in West Bengal Police force. Each such range is headed by an officer of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police. The ranges are further divided into 22 police districts. The police districts are headed by Superintendents of Police.
