MAHA TET Result 2017

MAHA TET is a State Level Examination that is a standard criterion to determine the suitability of a candidate in order to declare whether they are eligible to be recruited as class teachers of Primary Class 1- 5 and Upper Primary Classes 6-8. A candidate’s recruitment in a school depends on the recruitment policy of that respective school. It is also possible that the school may hold Interview rounds for selecting candidates further after the written exam i.e. MAHA TET 2017. A candidate who wishes to find a teaching job in the schools of Maharashtra in Primary and Upper Primary Sections will be required to produce the MAHA TET passing certificate on demand. While it takes for the passing certificate to be issued, candidates can produce the copy of the result page.

MAHA TET Result has been uploaded on the official website of the council at The result shall be uploaded on the candidate’s login account. To get access to the account, candidate will have to provide his/her Registration Number and Password. Minimum Marks requirement

To be declared qualified, a candidate must obtain the minimum marks set by the council. Now you must be wondering about the Minimum marks criteria. According to News 18, around 2.9 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam. A candidate from Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Nomadic Tribe, Special Backward Class must secure at least 55% marks and the candidates from General category must secure minimum 60% marks. Candidates who secure these marks, they will get passing certificates. Passing certificate issuance does not mean that the candidate will get the job. Validity of MAHA TET Result 2017

Validity of Maharashtra TET<> is for 7 years. Exam is conducted as vacancies offered by the Government. Candidate who pass the paper get the Teacher Eligibility Test certificates. Al already indicated, this certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of issue. A candidate who is not satisfied with his marks obtained earlier may appear for the TET again to improve the marks. According to the criteria, the passing certificates will be issued by Government of India.

What does the Maharashtra TET Statistics Say?

News 18 reported that over 2.9 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Out of these approximately 8,461 candidates registered for MAHA TET Paper I. and the ones who appeared in paper-I were only around while for Paper-II, 6,384 candidates had registered and only 6,263 candidates had appeared. Many candidates had reported errors in the question papers, however as per MSCE (Maharashtra State Council of Examinations), Maharashtra there were minor typing mistakes and no major mistakes in both the Papers.

Account to the provision of Free and Compulsory Education of Children Act, the Teacher Eligibility Test is compulsory for all primary teachers. This will be applicable to all the teachers in all schools providing primary education in all subsidized, unaided, non-grant-in-aid schools of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra TET 2017 has been conducted successfully across the State for which around 3 lakh candidates had registered. TET 2017 exam took place in 2 shifts paper-I & II in which was conducted from 9.30 AM to 12.00 PM and paper-II from 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM. participants took part in the exam with great enthusiasm.
