CBSE UGC NET Syllabus – For All 84 Subjects

Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the National Eligibility Test to determine eligibility for Lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). CBSE has notified the dates for NET 2018. This year examination is going to be held on July 08, 2018. Interested candidates may register themselves for the examination form March 06, 2018. The candidates who will appear in National Eligibility Test must know the syllabus to prepare for the examination. The syllabus and examination pattern will help the students to know more about the syllabus and topics covered in it. All the students who will appear for the examination must check the complete syllabus before start preparing for NET 2018.

CBSE NET 2018 syllabus will be released by University Grants Commission. The syllabus will be available on the official website of UGC at ugc.ac.in National Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects. There is different syllabus for each subject. The link to download the syllabus for each subject is available here. In this article, Candidate will know about the examination pattern, scheme to the test, criteria for result determination and tips to prepare for NET 2018.

Scheme of NET 2018

The National Eligibility Test (November) 2018 will consist of two papers which include paper I and paper II. All the papers will contain multiple choice questions (MCQ’s). The examination is going to be held on July 08, 2018 (Sunday) The pattern for the test such as number of questions, duration, marks are mentioned below in the table. Before checking the syllabus for the subjects, candidates must know the exam pattern.

I 100 50 questions all are compulsory 1 Hours (09:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.)
II 100 100 questions all are compulsory 2 Hours (11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.)

Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability. comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-ll shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Syllabus of CBSE NET 2018

The National Eligibility Test will be conducted in 84 subjects. Candidates can choose the subject of their choice while filling the application form of NET 2018. The syllabus links for all the subjects are given below. The candidate just need to click on the link of his or her subject and download the syllabus for that particular subject.

UGC NET Syllabus for all subjects can also be downloaded from the UGC website http://www.ugc.ac.in / http://www.cbsenet.nic.in and are also available in the libraries of all Indian Universities.

Insofar, official details of CBSE UGC NET July 2018 Syllabus have not been announced. Information on this page is as per last year brochure and for reference purpose only. As soon as CBSE releases CBSE UGC NET July 2018 information brochure, details will be updated here.
