Centralised Admission Cell (CAC) has decided to postpone the examination of Karnataka TET. The examination was earlier scheduled on April 12, 2020. However, due to KSET examination, it was preponed to April 11, 2020. After the announcement of 21 days lockdown because of COVID-19, Karnataka TET 2019 is postponed. KARTET aspirants have to wait for further notice to get updated schedule for Karnataka TET 2019.
The public notice for Karnataka TET postponement is published on the official website, schooleducation.kar.in. The notice translates to:
“Teacher Eligibility Test Date 2019: Examination to be held on April 11, 2020, is postponed. Due to Novel Coronavirus, Prime Minister has made 21 days Janta Curfew (Lockdown) mandatory. The new schedule will be notified.“

The notice says that due to the announcement made by Prime Minister of 21 days lockdown, the examination is postponed. The conducting body will release new dates for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test soon after the conditions are in control.
Karnataka TET 2020
Centralised Admission Cell was about to release the admit card for KARTET. Now that the examination is held up, it is expected that this event will also get postponed. Along with the new date of KARTET exam, CAC will publish the release date of admit card as well.

- CAC conducts the examination of KARTET as an offline examination.
- This examination is designed in several languages – English, Kannada, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi.
- KARTET does not have any negative marking.
- Karnataka TET is conducted for 150 marks having 150 MCQs.

What To Do Under Such Situations?
We all are aware that COVID-19 is declared as global pandemic and the world is fighting against it together. Right now, applicants and their guardians need to be safe and healthy. The need of the hour is to follow the precautions circulated by the Government of India. Read on and know how applicants can utilize the time they got due to this disease.
#1 Have Patience
Foremost, have patience and keep calm. There is nothing a candidate can do when an examination is postponed. All they can do is wait for the officials to release further notice.
#2 Extended Period for Preparation
Don’t see the postponement of the examination as a curse but boon. This delay has bought some time for preparation of KARTET. Prepare a new strategy or stick to the previous one. Utilize this time to strengthen the sections that demand more time.
#3 Do not go outside
The examination is rescheduled so that aspirants remain safe. It is not favourable to go to a library or group study at a friend’s house. Stay within the premises of home and maintain social-distancing.
