Maharashtra State Council of Examination has released Official answer key for Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test 2018 at www.mahatet.in. The Council released the answer key for the paper I & II on July 24, 2018. The exam was held on July 15, 2018. The candidates who appeared for the test are able to chcek the answer key for both papers forms the official website or this page. The link to access the answer keys is provided below on the page. Very soon the council will release the result for the MahaTET 2018 Exam. This is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. This test is mandatory for the candidates who want to become teachers in primary Class I-V and upper primary Class VI-VIII schools in the state of Maharashtra. MahaTET 2018

Maharashtra TET held for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I-V) and upper primary (VI – VIII) schools in the state of Maharashtra. Interested candidates applied online for MahaTET 2018 before the last date of form submission. Candidates who submitted their form on time and paid application fee could appear for MahaTET 2018 Exam. MahaTET Result 2018 will be released or all candidates who will appear in the examination.

  • MahaTET 2018 Paper 1 exam is for those who intend to be a teacher for Class 1 to Class 5.
  • MahaTET 2018 Paper 2 exam is for those who intend to be a teacher for Class 6 to Class 8.

Declaration of Result to be announced
The “Teacher Eligibility Test” has been conducted by the government or by the government-appointed authority/organization. To meet the cost of this test, the Authority/institution was able to charge the appropriate fee. All the responsibilities of organizing the Teacher Eligibility Test are entrusted to the Maharashtra State Examination Council, Pune.

MahaTET Eligibility Criteria

Considering the provision of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Right to Children Act, 2009, minimum educational and professional qualifications and teacher qualification exams are compulsory for all primary teachers (for classes 1 to 8) in the state.

For Class I-V

  • Passing the Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination with minimum 50% marks in the approved board and passing the two-year Diploma (D.T.ED) of the primary education system of the recognized institution.
  • Under the National Council of Teacher Education (Regulations, Norms, and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 pass the upper primary (or equivalent) examination with minimum 45 percent marks in recognized board and pass the two-year diploma to the recognized institution’s primary education system.
  • Passing the Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination with minimum 50% marks in recognized board and passed the recognized institution, four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  • Passing the Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination with minimum 50% marks in the recognized Board of Examination and the recognized institution of education science, two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Accredited University’s Degree and the recognized institution’s education science pass two-year diploma.
  • Government decision School Education and Sports Department Under the Higher Secondary School Examination (MCVC) branch, passed the Crench and Pre School Management Examination of Horticulture and Crop Science and Health Services Sector on June 10, 2010 and two-year Diploma in Education.

For Class VI-VIII

  • Passing two-year Diploma in Accredited University’s Elementary Education and Accredited Institution.
  • Under the National Council of Teacher Education (Regulations, Norms, and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 pass the degree examination with at least 45 percent marks in recognized university and pass the Bachelor in Education in recognized institution’s education science.
  • Passing the Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the approved examination board and four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  • Passing the Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 50% marks in recognized examination board and four years B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. Passed.
  • The degree of recognized University with minimum 50% marks and one-year-old B.Ed of recognized University (Special Education) passed the degree.
  • Horticulture and Crop Science Department of Agriculture and passed a degree examination in Crench and Pre School Management in Health and Medical Services Group and a one-year title of recognized university.

MahaTET 2018 Application Form

Application Fee/ Examination fee

    • For General candidates, MahaTET 2018 Application fee was Rs. 500/- for one paper and Rs. 800/- for two papers.
    • For SC/ ST Candidates MahaTET 2018 application fee was Rs. 250/- for one paper and Rs. 400/- for two papers.

MahaTET Exam Pattern

In the “Teacher Eligibility Test”, there were separate questions paper for each of the two primary school teachers (eg 1st to 5th) and upper primary (eg 6th to 8th) teachers. Both the question papers were compulsory for the candidates applying for both levels. The form and skill level of both the papers were based on the secondary and higher secondary school curriculum respectively.

  • Paper 1 for Class I to V is known as Primary Stage
  • Paper 2 for Class VI to VIII is known as Elementary Stage

55% of the students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Vimukta Jatis / Nomadic Tribes, Special Backward Classes, Other Backward Classes and Disabled candidates will be considered as having passed at least 60% marks in this examination.

General Instruction

  • The “Teacher Eligibility Test” will be taken every year as required (at least once) by the government.
  • The teacher will be given the Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate by the Government. The validity of this certificate will be 7 years from the date of issue.
  • The candidates who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test will be able to enter the number of times for the examination to increase the quality level.
  • The candidate who passes the Teacher Eligibility Test will not get a job directly or he will not have any right to do the job.

    Let Me show you the eligibility of TET exam.

    1) You must be of Indian origin.

    2) A graduation degree from a recognized university.

    3) A B.Ed degree is also mandatory.

    4) At least 50 percent marks.

    5) There is no age limit to appear for the exam.
