NHTET 2020 Admit Card
The applicant can download the admit card for NHTET 2020 from the website, thims.gov.in. To download the admit card, the candidate has to fill his/her registration number and password. Candidates have to download the admit card present on the screen after login. The availability of hall ticket will be till the date released by NCHMCT. No admit card will be sent to the candidate through any offline mode.
Applicants who have downloaded the admit card have to carry a hard copy to the exam centre. With the print out of the admit card, carry your ID card. ID card should be the same you have uploaded at the time of registration. No candidate will be allowed to enter the centre without these two documents.

NHTET 2020 Syllabus
Examination for NHTET has 3 papers. while you are preparing for NHTET, candidates can refer to the syllabus mentioned below.
Paper I syllabus
Paper I is conducted to test the teaching or research aptitude of the candidate. It includes comprehension, reasoning ability, general awareness, and general knowledge, teaching method, test method of the candidate.
Paper II syllabus
Syllabus for Paper II consists of food science, nutrition, hotel account (for hospitaliy related post for teaching) , general management.
Paper III syllabus
Syllabus for Paper II has four core topics of hospitality – Food production, accommodation operation management, F and B service and management, and housekeeping management.
NHTET 2020 Exam Pattern
NHTET is conducted with 3 papers – Paper I, Paper II and Paper III. Candidates can check the exam pattern for NHTET 2020 below.
- Mode of Examination: Examination is conducted on offline mode. Candidates will be provided with OMR sheet to mark their answers.
- Type of question: Multiple choice questions or objective questions are asked in the question paper.
- Duration: Paper I and paper II are conducted together for 2 hours and paper III is conducted for 2 hours.
- Total marks: Question paper will be of 400 marks.
- Total number of questions: 200 questions will be in papers (paper I, II and III all together)

NHTET 2020 Answer Key
The answer key released after NHTET exam is conducted. It is uploaded on thims.gov.in. Candidates can raise an objection against the NHTET answer key uploaded with documentary proof. The process of raising an objection will take place for 4 dates from the date answer key is uploaded. The objection is to be sent to the expert’s committees by mail. No other mode for objection raising is accepted.
Final answer key is also released after the experts are done examining the objections. The same will be released within 5 working days at the website only. Answer sheets will then be evaluated on the basis of final answer key of NHTET. The new answer sheet will be released by the next 4 working days.
NHTET 2020 Result
The result for NHTET 2020 releases on thims.gov.in. NCHMCT releases two PDF format result having names of both qualified and non-qualified candidates. The result is prepared once the process of objection raising is done. On the basis of the final answer key, the result is declared.
In the PDF of qualified candidates’ NHTET result, it will have details like marks obtained in each paper, aggregate marks, category, the application number, roll number, etc. after the declaration of result, final selection is done on the basis of docuemnt verification. If a candidates is found that h/she has provided incorrect details then their candidature is cancelled.

NHTET 2020 Certificate
NHTET certificate is awarded only to those candidates who are able to secure the prescribed qualifying marks. Know how aspirants can use NHTET qualifying certificate here:
- The Applicant must remain in the specified maximum age to apply against any vacancy of Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates at NCHMCT and their associated IHMs.
- The eligibility requirements and validity period can change in the future.
During any later stage during the NHTET certificate validation process, if it is found that the applicant submitted incorrect details and forget documents to prove his / her eligibility, his / her NHTET certificate will be immediately cancelled and a specific circular to that effect will be given to all IHMs immediately. Also, His / her nomination will also be debarred to sit in NHTET for the next two opportunities.
Validity of NHTET Certificate
NHTET certificate will remain valid for a period of 07 years. Aspirants have to appear for the exam and can use the certificate for 07 years.
NHTET 2020 Selection Procedure
Selection for the post of assistant lecturer and teaching associates is done in two stages. Candidates having PhD degree and those taking NHTET have to go through same process.

- Skill test at institute level.
All the candidates have to score passing marks in the practical skill test and teaching skill test. Assessment of the skill test is done by the members of Selection Committee. Only qualifying the NHTET or Phd degree holder is not finally selection. Final selection to the posts is done by securing the prescribed marks in skill test conducted by the institutes.
NHTET 2020 Application Form
The application process for NHTET 2020 is conducted online. To fill the application form, candidates can follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Applicant first have to visit the website, thims.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the link ‘New registration’ to get yourself registered.
Step 3: You will be asked to enter details like name, father’s name, mobile number, email address, etc and click on to register button.
Step 4: Next step is to fill the application form by providing educational details, uploading images and adding your demand draft number.
Step 5: Finally submit your application form and take a print out of it.
Application Fee
The application fee can only be paid by candidates through the demand draft mode. You have to take a print out of the demand draft and submit it to the commision. Along with DD submit the print out of the application form. Check the application form for NHTET 2020 below.

Mailing the Application form of NHTET 2020
Once a candidate is done submitting his/her application form, they are advised to take a print out of the application form. You have to take the print out of all the three pages of the form. After you have taken the print out, send the same to the council. Along with that, you have to send your demand draft for the amount prescribed for the application fee. There is no need to attach any other document with the application form. Confirmation sheet should be sent to the NCHMCT by recorded post only (speed post or registered post).

Master’s degree should have done after passing bachelor’s degree in hotel management or hospitality administration. - Candidates must have full-time bachelor’s degree hotel administration/ hospitality/ management. candidate must have 55% marks or more in aggregate and after that appearing in the final year or semester.
