IBPS PO Exam is being held by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. IBPS is the largest recruitment organization whose aim is to encourage the recruitment and placement of young graduates in public sector banks in India (except SBI). IBPS PO Exam

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting IBPS PO as every year. Only the qualifiers of the Prelims exam are able to sit in the IBPS PO Main Exam. In the same way, those who qualify Mains appeared in the interview. Provisional allotment is on the basis of merit. The candidates can check the Paper Analysis of the last year.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the following eligibility requirements in order to apply for IBPS PO  Exam

Nationality –  The candidate must be an Indian National.

  • Educational Requirements – The applicant must have a Graduation in any discipline, from a recognized institute.
  • Age Limit – applicant must be between 20 to 30 years as on 1st July. Candidates belonging to reserved category might get relaxation in the upper age limit.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern

The candidates can check the IBPS PO exam pattern, for the Preliminary, Main, and Interview, from the below:

  • PHASE I-Preliminary Exam (100 marks)
  • PHASE II- Main Exam (200 marks)
  • PHASE III- Interview ( 100 marks)

IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted in online mode and question paper will be presented in Hindi and English language. The candidates will have to solve 100 MCQs related to three major sections including- English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The question paper might be of 100 marks for which you shall get only 1 hour. A penalty of 0.25 (25% marks) for each wrong attempted response be done.

Interview

In all 20 banks participate in IBPS PO recruitment 2017. However, not all the institutes open vacancies every year. As stated above, the maximum number of vacancies are in the Canara Bank and the minimum vacancies are in the Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, and Corporation Bank.
