SSC CPO Age Limit 2018-  The Staff Selection Commision is going to conduct an Open Competitive Computer-based Examination for the  Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub Inspectors in CISF. SSC CPO Age Limit 2018

The Staff Selection Commision is going to conduct the Open Competitive Computer-based Examination for three posts this year. The Open Competitive Computer- Based Examination will be held on June 04 & 10, 2018 and December 01, 2018 this year. The age limitation policy is given on this page. The candidates should check all the details so carefully.

Age Limit

The candidate who is applying for SSC CPO should be 20-25 years as on 01.08.2018 (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.1998 are eligible).

Note: The candidate should note that the Date of Birth written on the Matriculation Certificate/ Secondary Examination Certification or an equivalent certificate only, will only be accepted by the Commissioner for the AGe Eligibility, no other request for its change will be considered or Granted.

Permissible Relaxation and Upper Age limit & respective Category Codes

The table for the Permissible relaxation in upper age limit and category codes for claiming age relaxation will be as follows:

04 For Group „B‟ posts:
(i) Central Government Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date
5 years.
05 (ii) Central Government Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date 10 (5+5) years.
06 For ASI in CISF:
(i) Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date
Up to 40 years of age
07 (ii) Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date Up to 45 years of age
08 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 5 years
09 For Group „C‟ posts only:
(i) Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried.
Up to 35 years of age
10 (ii) Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (SC/ ST ) Up to 40 years of age
11 Departmental Candidates for vacancies in Delhi Police only: (i) Departmental Candidates (Unreserved) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date. Up to 30 years of age
12 (ii) Departmental Candidates (OBC) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date. Up to 33 years of age
13 (iii)Departmental Candidates (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date. Up to 35 years of age

Age Relaxation For Ex-Serviceman

Ex-servicemen (ExS) who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Government in Group „C‟ & „D‟ posts on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re-employment are NOT eligible for fee concession. However, eligibility for claiming the benefit of reservation under ExS category.

The period of “Call up Service” of an Ex-Serviceman in the Armed Forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for purpose of age relaxation as per rules.

For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-Serviceman to securing the benefits of reservation. Such applicant must have already acquired, the status of ex-servicemen at the relevant time of submitting his application for the Post/Service and is in a position to establish his acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent authority that he would complete specified term of engagement from the Armed Forces within the stipulated period of one year from the closing date for receipt of application. Or otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency.

A Matriculate Ex-Serviceman (which term includes an Ex-Serviceman, who has obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of education or the corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force), who has put in not less than 15 years of service as on closing date with Armed Forces of the Union shall be considered eligible for appointment to the Group „C‟ posts of SI in Delhi Police, and ASI in CISF against posts reserved for ExS only. Thus, those Non-Graduate Ex-Servicemen who have not completed 15 years of service as on the last date for receipt of applications are not eligible for these posts.

Further, as per extant guidelines of Department of Personnel and Training deemed graduation of Indian Army Special 5 Certificate of education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force on completion of 15 years in Armed Forces is not applicable for Group „B‟ posts.

Eligibility

There are different parameters in the eligibility criteria of SSC CPO 2018. The eligibility includes Age Limitation, Educational Qualification eligibility, and physical eligibility. Educational qualification should consider at the time of applying for the post and Physical eligibility will be tested after the written test. Physical eligibility includes Weight, Height, Eyesight and medical fitness for male and female both. There are different parameters of physical fitness for male and female.
